Works great!
I've caught a few mice since yesterday. These work very reliably and repetitively. I love em. I bought these to replace one of those GARBAGE "walk the plank" traps, which is totally ineffective for a few reasons. These really are awesome though. Very mechanically simple design, bait hold is perfect and you rarely will have to refill it (target cannot eat the bait) until it gets old and nasty. Relatively sensitive trigger mechanism, but I haven't had a false trigger yet. Every time the door is closed, there's a mouse inside! 10/10 recommended by function, and 10/10 value for the dollar spent for sure.I can't kill the dang mice though. My (future) wife and mom keep seeing them alive, naming them and all kinds of stupid sh!t, so I have to let them free somewhere distant from the house., because little mice are "too cute" to dispatch, apparently, regardless of how much of my crap they destroy in the garage. So, I guess they'll serve as food for the local hawks/owls. I guess that's a better use for them anyways.

best of a myriad of traps ordered
caught 5 mice in 2 days. easy to set. easy to clean. the bait (peanut butter) is separate from trap chamber so does not need to be replaced each time. possible to hear when a mouse has been caught. only downside is that the bait chamber which needs to be removed to let mouse out does not slide easily and is a bit hard to slide in and out of trap. other downside is i am getting tired of being a mouse uber and driving them far enough away so they don't just return.

Catch-and-release is not as Humane as I thought, missing piece cause me to research
I don't know how effective it is because one of them was missing a piece but I did try the other one for two nights and we had tons of rats at night in the yard and none of them went for it even with their favorite stuff in it. The downside is I read something afterwards that catching and releasing a rat or Mouse is actually more inhumane than killing them. It's like taking your child and throwing them in the Amazon it will completely cause them to be disoriented and very susceptible to Predators or dying from the elements. Rats can only see at best a few feet in front of them their vision is very blurry apparently it's around 20/600. They rely on their whiskers and other senses in their environment, so taking them out of their environment and putting them somewhere where they are not familiar is like I said the equivalent to throwing a child in the Amazon. After I learned all that I decided they're just trying to survive like the rest of us. As long as they're not in my home I don't see them as offensive anymore and as long as it doesn't get out of control they're welcome to come into my yard once in awhile LOL

Best alternative
Was looking for a humane way of catching the baby mice that started making our home their home and this trap worked great! I was able to catch the 2 little guys fairly quickly with no harm to them. We caught them and released them back into the woods. Great item that can be used over and over! Definitely saves money and a good price point to begin with

finally!
My lovely cats caught a mouse and just let it go in our kitchen weeks ago. This is the fourth kind of trap we have purchased trying to catch the dang thing and it beat every single one we got until this one. We FINALLY caught the mouse today only a few hours after setting the trap and leaving to go shopping. We will definitely be hanging on to this when inevitably our cats bring in another one.

Killed the first mouse
It killed the first mouse... trapping it in the door. This flimsy product is poorly designed. Opening the bait container requires a tool and the plastic is so brittle and flimsy I keep expecting it to break and I pry open the bait section. The poor mouse that died, trapped in the door defecated. Now I can't get the smell out of the plastic. Hot water, soaking in soap, bathroom cleanser... cannot get out the smell. This is a ripoff. Don't buy it.

Amazing! Worked the First Night!
My cats were slacking on their job. So I tried this product. I put the traps in the places where I've seen mouse droppings. Sure enough, the first night I caught one mouse in each trap. They were just hanging out eating the peanut butter, calm and fine. I relocated them to the field behind my house. If you're looking for a humane way to get rid of mice, this is it! So easy to use. My only complaint is that it takes me a bit of time (maybe 20-30 seconds) to slide the piece off to fill with peanut butter. It could just be the version I bought, but they do not slide off very easily. Regardless, I would buy this again and again. Totally worth it!

Works!
We had a mouse living in our mini van. I put two of these out with peanut butter. I checked the next morning and caught 2 mice! I took them to a remote destination and let them go. I like how easy it is to set.I tried cleaning them out because of all the poop the mice left in them and it wasn't very easy. I didn't use a scrub brush or anything, just let hot water try to rinse it out, but the feces was stuck in the tight spots. Eventually got it all cleaned out and put away for the next use.
