Cabrales D.O.

Cabrales is completely delicious and addictive; very strong flavored, spicy blue cheese. Blue cheese from the market pales in comparison. Makes a fantastic lunch with crusty bread, fruit and hard cider. It's all I want to eat.

This cheese was not good! It had several hard, dark areas on it and there were worms inside the cheese also. Terrible that this product is being sold.

Delicious! We had a slight shipping snafu but the seller quickly remedied the situation and I couldn't be more pleased!!

This cheese was excellent and couldn't get get more authentic unless it had maggots. This stuff is the real artisanal cheese from Asturias from a blend of cow, sheep and goat milk and it is very strong and pungent. The areas where the mold rind are, are delicious and it the rind has this awesome nutty aftertatse. The strong taste stays on for awhile and it's very addictive. Do not however cook this cheese in any way! This is meant to be eaten alone or with bread or mini-toasts. Also, the blue veins are pure LIVE penicillin which is like an extremely strong anti-biotic which will boost ur immune system. Next time, though I might get a 6lbs.wheel because even this wedge is a full pound, I went through it in 2 days....cuz like I said, it's extremely addictive. In a world of commercial garbage, it's really awesome to find something so artesanal that's so danm delicious!
