For the price I can’t complain too much, but this isn’t a hat you want to depend on keeping you warm in freezing temperatures. Especially if it’s windy this hat doesn’t do well at keeping the cold off your head and ears. For temps in the low 50’s and higher temps this hat works fine with those temperatures. Built in ear muffs are nice and do help a little to keep the wind out of your ears. Just don’t expect miracles or you’ll be disappointed unfortunately. If you’re looking for a warm cap plan on paying more for it then what this hat costs! It does do a pretty good job keeping your head from getting wet in the rain though! For what the hat is, I’m not complaining and for semi cooler weather I would buy it again. Freezing weather though I would want a much heavier warmer hat!

Very comfortable and warm

I gave this cap a 5 because 1. it was exactly as described by the sellers. 2. It is WARM which is what I was after. Even without the ear flaps down, this fully lined hat is toasty. I only use the ear flaps if the wind is strong or if the temp is in the teens (F). I only needed a slight adjustment for fit for my 7-7 1/8 normal size. The elastic cloth where the back of the hat is split (under the adjustment strap) is a really nice touch and adds to the warmth by keeping wind out.

This hat appears to be well made. Good quality leather. It is fully lined inside which makes it very warm. Flaps work well for ear protection from wind, however, be aware that the flaps are leather with lining also. This makes them muffle sound significantly, can make it more difficult to have a conversation. Overall very pleased with the hat.

I'm not too sure about the material but the craftsmanship is okay it's a little crooked and not exactly symmetrical on the seams. As for the fit itself, it's a bit large and small at the same time( large as in appearance in small as in fit) like this thing looks like a ten-gallon hat it's downright cartoonish. It leaves so much Headroom. Also, it's very thick and heavy. You could chuck this at someone and it would hurt.(source: YEETED at friend like Oddjob.)

I removed the ear flaps as I never like them and I won't be wearing this in brutally cold weather. Over all it's pretty well made and looks good.

Sure do do like the cap. Not sure why but it has the most musty smell you can imagine. Trying to air it out and not working. Google says use vinegar?

I bought this for my mom. She loves it but this is definitely a winter hat only. She says it’s very warm :) great quality it even has little flaps that cover your ears if you want.
