This works great. Now that our government allows the insurance companies to hit us with a claim for windshield replacements. If they only fixed and kept the highways clean.

Pretty happy with this kit. Worked well for my non business needs. I live on a dirt road, got sick of buying the onetime use kits.

Even though insurance will pay for my rock chip repairs, my biggest problem is getting time to drop the vehicle off for the repair so I always procrastinate a few weeks after getting a chip. Well, it finally bit me and a small chip turned into several cracks covering my entire windshield, and that bill is a heck of a lot more than buying this repair kit would have been.That was the prompt to order this repair kit, plus I had a windshield I could test on before getting it replaced. I was a bit nervous at first thinking it would take some skill and finesse, but it is shockingly easy to use. The first attempt was a little cumbersome, but after that each repair has only taken a few minutes and usually takes longer to get the kit out than actually doing the repair. Between kids and the wife driving gravel roads every day I'm using it monthly and still have plenty of resin left, most repairs are impossible to spot without knowing they were there, and not a single one has continued to crack. Very happy with this kit, just wish I would have purchased it sooner.

I own a small used car lot and have always paid a professional to fix chips in the windshields. At $40 a windshield I figure I paid well over $1000 in the last 10 yrs. I bought this kit figuring it would pay for itself very quickly. I have now done my first three chips and I am happy to say they look great. Before this kit arrived I watched about 4 instructional videos so I would know what I was getting into. When it arrived I dove right in and made a couple mistakes. Watch the videos and then watch them again. Follow the steps and you will be happy with the results.

I haven’t purchased any products yet! But I have experience as a glazer using the vacuum pump assisted models working for a couple of the big glass companies ! So I’m looking forward to trying this unit out and making a little side business hopefully! I just wanted to give anyone who reads this a quick tip! Ounce your resin is administered if you apply just a small amount of heat with a regular lighter or similar device under the rock chip on the inside of windshield the crack/chip will open up just slightly more and allow the resin to reach areas that vacuum alone would not let it! This makes for a much less visible repair that in most situations almost disappears completely!

To be honest, my expectations weren't sky high. However, after getting a $160 quote from safelight I thought it was worth a try. I watched videos, read the instructions and took my time. It really isn't difficult to achieve surprising results. My wife can't even see where the pit/star burst was.

When I bought this ESSENTIALS KIT I thought that it would have a drill included. Somehow I didn't notice that in the description it says this product saves you money by having your own DREMEL drill which was an interesting way to say "DRILL NOT INCLUDED". I needed the kit in a hurry because my windshield chip started to spread. I got it overnight and use it the next day. I had a meeting so I didn't have time to watch the video provided. I called the support number on the paperwork and immediately a person answered to help me understand some of the nuances of repairing my chip. Once we finished the call within 30 minutes my repair was done and looked great. I highly recommend this product.
