A Pearson Product
I'm forced into using this product because I choose an online 8th grade English course for my son and the vendor uses Pearson. This does not surprise me. Pearson is in every segment of k-12 as well as higher education and professional development. Good Points? 1) Each unit of study includes selections of different genres 2) Teaches you to analyze texts 3) Teaches you how to cite evidenceBad Points? 1) The different genres are boring. 2) The reading passages are not interesting and on occasion, I detect a political spin. 3) Seems overly complicated. Perhaps I'm a bit critical because I wanted to see more classical literature. Diving deep into two or three classical works with analysis is more to my liking and what I may do next year.
