I used to wait for my husband to cut a melon. Nothing better than a cool watermelon to kill the thirst during hot summer days. This product makes it easy for everybody to get the melon cut. Especially now when in the news I read: "FDA warns consumers in 10 more states not to eat pre-cut melon due to salmonella". I do wash the melon before puncturing it with the melon aid support or the knife.I love the ease of cutting a melon or few slices and wrap the rest as is on the support and put it in the refrigerator for later.

I don’t use it anymore as I went back to the way I am comfortable cutting the melon.

So easy to use and easy to clean! Summer is coming up and my family loves melons so it was something I wanted to try. I was nervous that the watermelon would fall off, but it did not. It was very stable and it made slicing the melons so much easier for my mom who usually precuts fruit for the week. Perfect tool to have in your kitchen! definitely recommend.

I couldn't get it to split as described, only hold so I could cut it.

Overall its a goos product for the price

I love it. Being a watermelon lover, I always wanted something that would keep the fruit in place while cutting it, without dripping the juice everywhere. This product does both, I totally recommend it.
