Pedego Step-Thru Interceptor Cruiser

This bike is Great! I bought it for my wife who thought I was crazy but now she loves it too. I enjoy biking and she won’t/can’t because biking hurts her knee’s but with the Pedego she has no pain and is having a blast. We are taking it to VA Beach this summer and I expect we are going to be all over the board walk. The kick stand has always been a problem not working or in the way while riding but the Interceptor’s looks like a motorcycle stand yet not in the way when riding not even a hint of the bike falling over when used. The only bad thing is she is leaving me in the dust.1 negative: It is a good thing they use a sturdy box because shipping was rough on the packaging (see pic) but nothing was damaged inside.

I did not purchase this bike from Amazon because it is being used as my main vehicle, so I bought locally. I di thorough research on ALL the e-bikes on the market (I am 5'2" and this is one of the rare bikes that come in a 24" size as most are 26"...the 24" is the perfect size for me) The BEST $3000 I ever spent!! I have owned it since April 2015 and have close to 3000 miles on it. Only needed new rear tire recently and adjustment of brakes and tuneup. The money I purchased the bike for included fenders, removable shopping front basket, saddle bags, rearview mirror and helmet. The bike travels at 23mph and goes about 30 miles per chatge. Goes up steep hills like a breeze. So many people have stopped me and inquired about it. Cruised all over our recent huge annual "Harborfest" in Oswego, NY without having to park (as in a Car) and walk for blocks. The dealer I purchase it from and his wife own 2 here and 2 in Florida with about the same milege on each of them. He told me the bike would be "Life-Changing" and that couldn't be more true! AWESOME!!!!!

My wife and I bought two Pedego Interceptors almost a year ago. We love them, and we love our local dealer -- but we have had nothing but problems with the corporate office. The colors on the website were markedly different than the colors on the bikes when they arrived, for the sandstone and pink, and the "pink" bike and fenders were not the same color. (See pics for pink with this review: (1) website image of pink bike, now called "raspberry," and (2) the bike and fender on the day of delivery - see the obvious color differences.) We've had to swap out the electronics multiple times, with the Pedego support people clearly not knowing what was wrong. My bike spent 4+ months of the first 12 months of ownership in the shop. I am finally just having my whole bike replaced.I think these are a great product! I feel nothing but joy when I'm riding the bike -- when it works. However, problems with the production quality of the electronics and poor corporate support leave me urging others to consider buying a different brand of eBike. If the problems during my first year of ownership are indicative of the poor quality of support from the company, then after the warranty expires I worry that the bikes will break and be essentially unrepairable.

I also bought this bike locally. I have never had so much fun riding a bike. This company has outstanding customer service. This bike has allot of power. The ped assist is the coolest thing ever invented. I am a 60 yr old woman with arthritis and this bike allows me the freedom to exercise at whatever level I am at that day. I agree, this is the best $3000.00 I have ever spent on myself!!!!

the worst designed, poorly made, break-down prone product of any kind i have ever bought. i cannot begin to list the number of problems we have had and customer support is inconsistently poor to satisfactory. badly designed controls.

Have rented this bike and will be buying one as soon as I decide on the colors!

Love the bike. Strengthens my thighs. Have arthritis in my knees but riding this bike has helped them. Only complaints is my rear gets soar and I even have the added gel seat. I don’t have much padding on my rear
