Sensational Sugar Fairies

Very attractive book, I love the different wing and fairy styles

Cant wait to start making the things in this book. I have most of the books written by Frances and love them all.

The whole book and characters in it

I think this book is lovely I have started to use it as inspiration. However I think I found the head mould used ‘holly products’ however they are no longer trading. I have used a SK head mould on the picture. I have tracked a ‘holly products’ mould and have found they are a lot smaller than the one I have used. However this hasn’t stopped me in trying to make the fairy’s. The book doesn’t give what products have been used so will be trial and error trying to find the exact items.Great book so shouldn’t stop you in buying it.

I love this book- if you want make fairies in either sugar or cold porcelain then you can achieve your goal with this book. The skills taught here are easily transferred into your own designs. If you have Frances' other book "Modelling Fairies in sugar" then you will not go wrong in making this purchase too. The skills and designs and are defiantly a step up allowing you the pleasure of increasing your ability in this area. Don't forget to seek out her silicone fairy face/hand/feet molds which will give you the miniature detail so vital with these makes.

I love this book, but being an American production I have found it quite difficult to get my hands on the head mounds as shown in the book. Still I have found some and am looking forward to creating some fairies for my niece's cake. The book is very detailed and has lots of colour photos to guide you. The written descriptions are nice as they feel like a friend is talking to you and encouraging your endeavours. Very nice book. I will invest in more by the same author/creator.

Frances McNaughten has excelled herself with this book. her faeries are beautiful, the instructions clear and easily followed by all and from past experience I know they work. A fabulous book for anyone who loves sugarcraft and faeries

BEAUTIFUL PICTURES, WITH VERY CLEAR INSTRUCTIONS, STILL NERVOUS ABOUT DOING IT FREE HAND, SO DOING IT SLOWLY AND LETTING THE FIGURE DRY.. DO BOTH ARMS AND LEGS TOGETHER, EASIER TO GET THEM THE SAME. GLAD I GOT THE BOOK.
