stitching on the bags started to come out
Being a proud owner of multiple reusable snack bags, I can confidently say that ReUsies aren’t as durable and effective as the rest of the bags. ReUsies aren’t able to handle the abrasion that faces snack bags. Frankly speaking, snack bags aren’t handled in a fragile manner. Days after buying the bags, the stitching on the bags started to come out. I had to stitch them back. It seems this might have made the situation worse since the bags started to retain water after every wash and would not be dry enough for next day. I wasn’t ready to start eating stale sandwiches and have since discontinued use and I now use mine for tasks other than carrying food. I recommend LunchSkins reusable bags. They withstand the attrition. You can smash cherries inside a LunchSkin bag and scrub to remove the stain and the bag will still remain undamaged. This though is not the case with ReUsies. It got torn after a few scrubs. I suspect the scrubbing was what made the stitches loosen up. If you are going to wash ReUsies then it is better to hand wash the bags. Also, they take long to dry up probably caused by the weak stitches. ReUsies are made from Cotton on the outside and nylon inside. This is unlike LunchSkins that have one fabric making up the whole bag which ensures their durability. Plus ReUsies bags started fading pretty quickly. On the positive side, ReUsies are environmentally friendly and like with other reusable bags, you can use them to store other things like in my case. They are handy when you are walking your dog. You can put in some of its snacks. They also have varying sizes meant to suit your preferences. The small size bags are 6 by 5 inches and are meant to store your pretzels, crackers etc. in small quantities. For sandwich lovers like I, there are larger sizes that are 7.5 by 6 inches. On tops, it uses Velcro for sealing. I love that because Velcro is lead and phthalate free. The chemical Phthalate has been known to cause birth deformities. Velcro also allows for easy adjustment of the bag to permit whatever is inside to fit well. This is a nice reusable bag that you can use for other things other than food. Or if you have to, then hand wash the bag to prevent it from tearing up. After tearing up it will not be airtight anymore.

Pretty good
I bought these so that I could use less ziploc baggies with my lunch. I bought this pack and a couple Itzy Ritzy bags. I like them both and think both designs are good. Normally I store things like grapes, pretzels, cheese, etc in my ReUsies. Normally I don't eat a sandwich for lunch but yesterday was the first day I had one. I would have to say its probably not ideal for sandwiches, as my bread got a little stale around the crust. BUT, I do make my lunches at night, which means it sat in the fridge overnight and until lunchtime in my lunch bag. But for everything else, I really like using these packs. To wash, I have just been flipping inside out and rinsing out with water and soap and letting to dry. If I don't get the exterior of the pack too wet, then they are dry by morning to use. I bought several so I have a 2 day rotation, that way if they aren't dry, I am not out of luck packing my lunch.

They work but cleaning could be better
I was so excited about these. I washed them in the washer first, as the packaged suggested, then started washing them in the dishwasher. First time in the dishwasher they faded and discolored significantly. They were also still wet when I took them out in the morning so I couldn't use them again the next day. I also bought the lunch skins and prefer them because they are all plastic and can be towel dried in the morning for continued use. I do still use them and a sandwich will stay fresh in the refrigerator over night until the next day at lunch. They serve their purpose in saving disposable bags from the landfill, and keep the food fresh.

It isn't easy being green.
These are not airtight so a sandwich is OK till lunch but would last all day. At the price purchased it will take a long time to recoup the expense. We drive our garbage to the dump and toss it out, looking the the pile of "stuff" that will never compost made me realize it was worth it. With 3 little girls and they are always watching so leading by example is important but so is the bottomline. Reusing these bags teach them something and that is worth it. ( Plus they belong to the children ( they got to pick their favorite colors) so they don't forget to bring them home)

Great Product
I love ReUsies... they are fun, and cut down on plastic waste. My kids adore them. They are easy to care for... hand wash or turn inside out to put in with your laundry. The only reason I rated them 4 stars instead of five, is that they fade really fast - like after one wash. Now, the company does warn you that they will fade if you put them in the laundry...it's in the care label when you receive the product. But it would be great if they worked on finding fabrics that don't fade as quickly. Still, the quick fading is worth it to avoid plastic & I will continue to re-order!

Very Nice
I love these bags. They are well made and easy to clean. They are very well designed so you can fill them half way or all of the way and still be able to velcro them securely closed. I love the two different sizes. They are not air tight, but I simply wash them out and hang them on the clothes line to dry every afternoon and them fill them with a snack right before school. Five weeks into school I have used one or both of them with my daughter's lunch every weekday and still love them. I will definitely be ordering more for my son. They are great for packing snacks for a road trip also because unlike the bulky stainless steel containers I usually pack for long drives, these can be folded up small once they are empty and take up very little room.

Zipper closure is better than Velcro
Love the pattern of the fabric and the idea but this bag can definitely improve in design.1. If it is a bit bigger and more square, it would be perfect for sandwiches.2. Zipper closure would be better than the current Velcro attachment.3. Instructions say it can be washed in both conventional washer and dryer or in dishwasher. Had no problem in washer and dryer but when washed in the dishwasher, the pigment of the bag bled and made the interior of the bag blue.
