Permatex 80050 Clear RTV Silicone Adhesive Sealant, 3 oz

Perfect for the purpose I intended it for. I didn't need a lot, and wanted a resealable container for later uses the tip can be cleaned out later, after it's hardened. By using a straight tipped screwdriver to loosen from the bigger end, scraping the insides, then, insert a probe at the narrow end to push the plug out.

Not much to say. It's a clear silicone sealant/gel in a tube. You squeeze it where you want it; you smooth out/wipe off the excess; it smells like vinegar for a while and cures at room temperature (RTV = Room Temperature Vulcanizing) to a clear, rubbery, waterproof finish. Like any other silicone sealant (not to be confused with "siliconized" acrylic), it won't take paint, so pick a color that's close to what you're working on. Clear works in most situations.I don't bother with the cap after I open the tube. I leave the nozzle in place and thread a tight-fitting screw into the nozzle hole. It doesn't dry out; I don't have to clean out the nozzle each time and there's no waste.

Good stuff but... I think if you use it, you are done?? I could not figure how to keep it 'alive' for another use! And... no small nipple thingy to screw on the top for fine spray items.

I replaced a third brake light on the roof of my truck. I used this to seal it up. It's holding up great with no leaks and dried really fast. The tube is big enough that I can do other things with it. It's easy to use and being clear there is many uses for it.
