Whimsical Practicality U.S Marines Edible Icing Image Cake Top Decoration, 1 Piece

I decided what type of cake I wanted to bake for my fiancé's birthday last minute. I found this cake topper and it arrived on time, intact. I took a chance because some of the reviews said they couldn't remove it from the plastic film. I popped it in the freezer and definitely left it in for longer than recommended (I don't recall how long). It was easy to remove from the plastic and easy to place on the cake. A tiny dab of water rubbed across the back of it helped adher it to the cake. I was very satisfied with this product. If only I had more time to plan and bake the cake it would've come out smoother and neater but overall I was happy with the final results and everyone loved the cake!

I want to start out by saying that the only backing you need to remove is the large white sheet the circle is attached to. All of the reviews had me thinking I had more to take off which caused mine to crack. Once you remove the white 8" x 11" sheet of paper you just have to place it on your cake. It will soften and become part of the icing.

The first one we ordered came damaged. The seller sent another one with no issues. We did have to trim the outside white edges bc it was uneven. But other than that it was a great product. Great touch to the cake.

I follow the instructions and it didn't come off from the white paper at all, started cracking as soon I started to peeling the logo.

I ordered this product and received it in about 5 days. I looked online for different cake ideas and found that they were either too advanced for me to do or the product was too expensive to purchase. A lot of the times the shipping was either more than the product itself, or just as much, making the total more than I wanted to pay. This image was at a fantastic price and NO shipping charge! I opened it right away when I receive it and was amazed at how good the quality of the image is. It is the perfect size for the cake pan that I have. Best part is, there will be hardly any decorating to do and the finished cake will be beautiful and he will absolutely love it! It will mean so much to him to have a Marine cake for his birthday. I highly recommend using this company for cake decorating supplies. I know I will be using them when I can.

This was so easy to use. I was a little hesitant because several had commented they couldn't get it off the paper backing. Mine slid right off. I'm wondering if some may have thought there was a backing they had to remove after they took it off the initial paper. There is no "same-sized" backing on it. It's on a large square sheet of paper that it literally slides off of and that's it! Will definitely order again in the future for my Marine!

No matter howmany times I put back in freezer as directed and tried to remove from backing, the decal stuck, tore and was impossible to use to welcome home my Marine from bootcamp.
