Large grain, lovely fabric.
Shipping cost is more than I would have expected, but the fabric is fine.This is a dark red, but not as dark as a burgundy. If you're looking for the "dark dried blood" effect, maybe try the Wine velvet instead. If you want a Christmas red, this will be too dark for you. If you want a dark red that's between Santa and Blood, this is it. This is the perfect shade to match my corset, so it will work wonderfully for the coat I will be making.The grain is a little bit large, would work nicely for upholstery or something like that. I'm not planning on using the "stretch" feature of the fabric, so the large grain won't be as noticeable. If you are planning to use it as stretch, keep that in mind - you'll see "stripes" between the raised velvet grain where the stretch fabric expands.

Wow... absolutely beautiful. I used this to line a 15x11 display case for my Ultrasabers and was very impressed. Make sure to take into account the lighting and how it will shine on the display. Lighting angle will change the look of the color.
