Poor customer service. Declined warranty request. **UPDATE:**
I was really looking forward to this chair. The talented advertising writers, slick web design and friendly sales people made it seem like the “perfect” solution to my cervical damage related sleep problems. With surgery looming, the sales folks did their best to expedite delivery. The guys who set the chair did the job well and were very courteous to my wife and me. Ten days after delivery, the chair developed a problem. The back lost firmness and a gap formed between it and the seat bottom. The heat pad began digging into my lower back, my hips kept slipping through the gap and the “perfect” sleep I was hoping to enjoy was no longer possible. My first call to customer service seemed to meet with a professional response. I was told to expect a call from a service tech “the following day”. That day passed without a call. It all went downhill from there. When I called for an update the following morning, I clearly drew the short straw with a different customer service agent. Her attitude set off alarm bells with me.I was told to expect longer delays and the problem was essentially my ignorance. Since that conversation was growing heated, I told her I wanted to take advantage of my 30 day grace period and simply return the defective chair for a full refund. She declined the refund request. Another week has passed with no call from a service tech, and I’m fast approaching the end of my 30 day grace period. Now I’m forced to hire an attorney. I suggest you research the other negative reviews and seriously consider another company for a medical lift/sleep chair. These folks are a “perfect” pain in the butt.UPDATE: I received a very courteous call from the Customer Service Manager who assured me they would honor their warranty in whatever way I desired. Since I really need the chair, she said they would deliver a replacement for the defective chair. She wanted to stress they would refund my money if not completely satisfied. I added a star and will upgrade my review if they are able to fulfill her promise to me. I remain hopeful.

Warranty is worthless
customers get a lifetime warranty on the "lift mechanism". A cylinder snapped that lifts up the footrest. After 4 calls, they finally agreed to replace the motor(not what was broken) ., never acknowledging the actual broken part. And I would only have to pay $65 (shipping)+ $250 to repair. Seems like a lot for a chair that cost $2400.

Customer Service is Terrible and Chair stopped working after 2 months of use. HORRIBLE
We purchased this chair for my mom who has Parkinson's and has trouble getting in and out of a regular bed. It took a month to even receive the chair. My mom received the chair in June and it has already stopped working. I have called to have it fixed and I was told that it will take up to 2 weeks. My mom has no other bed to sleep in. This is terrible. The customer service is awful. I would not recommend this chair. I would actually want to return it for my mom if I could. Terrible purchase.

THE SEAT IS ONLY 20 INCHES WIDE (A STANDARD RECLINER IS 23-24 INCHES WIDE) IT LOOKS LIKE A LADIES RECLINER (NOT FOR A NORMAL SIZE MAN)
BUYER BEWARE! THIS CHAIR IS MISREPRESENTED- IT IS NOT OVERSTUFFED AND OVERSIZED! THE SEAT IS ONLY 20 INCHES WIDE (A STANDARD RECLINER IS 23-24 INCHES WIDE) IT LOOKS LIKE A LADIES RECLINER (NOT FOR A NORMAL SIZE MAN). A VERY SNOTTY CUSTOMER SERVICE REP WILL TELL YOU, TOUGH LUCK, IF YOU EVEN SUGGEST WANTING TO RETURN IT! DON'T SPEND $2000.00 ON THIS UNDER-SIZED CHAIR- ALSO, IT DOES NOT ALLOW YOU TO LIFT YOUR FEET WHEN SITTING UP-RIGHT. MOST SENIORS NEED TO ELEVATE THEIR FEET WHEN SEATED- TWO BIG STRIKES AGAINST THIS "PERFECT" (NOT!) CHAIR! GO BUY A CHAIR YOU CAN TRY OUT FIRST- THE ADS ON THIS CHAIR ARE MISLEADING! MY 90 YEAR OLD FATHER IS OUT 2000.00 NOW- AND STILL NEEDS A CHAIR! VERY DISAPPOINTED-

no lower back support
The chair is too large for me. Feet don't hit the floor, there is an opening between the back and the seat. Customer service suggested using a pillow to fill he space. The chair operates as advertised, but be sure you can return it if it doesn't fit you. In my opinion, I have a $ 2400 lemon.I didn't buy through Amazon. I bought from an advertisement on an AARP magazine.

Manufacturer is not exaggerating the chair's benefits. It's all true.
This product is just as promised. We bought it for a loved one who really needed relief from very painful sitting and standing issues. She just loves the chair. Not only has it helped her with her diseased knees, but it also has helped her husband who hurt his back, making it difficult for him to lift her in and out of her previous chair. This chair really fulfills all its described benefits.

Disappointed in this chair!
At first, this chair seemed an answer to all our problems! My husband could sleep very well in it and the lift aspect was very helpful. However, in about 4 months, things started to breakdown. There is a plastic part on the lift that broke. We were still under warranty, so the company replaced it. About 5 months after that, that piece broke. Luckily we know a welder and he looked at the piece and made a new one out of metal. That worked fine. Then, we noticed the "leather" starting to flake off and it got worse and worse. The chair, now 2 years old is no longer burgundy but "bare" black splotches all over, like leprosy! Then after a few months, the remote quit working. We ordered another one. It worked for a while and it quit. Then, we ordered a third one just a few weeks ago and now it has stopped. We have had "issues" on and off with this chair now for the full 2 years and it started breaking down after only about 5 months. When a chair is this expensive, it should not disintegrate in 2 years or less. Also, with the added cost for repairs and getting "new" items to fit it, we have spent about $500.00 more on it. As of today, the chair won't recline and its stuck in a position that is not even comfortable to sit AND the remote is dead (again). My husband is so upset with it that he just had it hauled out to the street so the garbage men can pick it up!!! The chair itself was comfortable and the lift feature was handy and worked well until the parts started breaking. Too bad the mechanics of it are whacked! This chair needs LOTS of pieces mechanically checked over and the plastic features eliminated!!!!
