I purchased two of these cameras for my son to "watch" his 130# puppy while he wasn't home. Set up of cameras and and app downloads (to multiple devices) was incredibly simple and fast! On the first day, the "puppy" grabbed a camera and chewed off the wifi antenna. We looked at it to see if it was reparable, and we noticed an ethernet plug. My son plugged a cable from his router to the camera and it works fine! Needless to say, that was a bonus feature we discovered after the fact. My son gets motion alerts in real time and is able to command his dog effectively. Awesome purchase for their intended use!

These cameras were affordable options for ethernet-wired/wifi security cameras. They have met some expectations, with impressive video quality and reliable connectivity. The remote monitoring features are also useful. However, the motion detection is ineffective, causing constant false alerts. The cameras' internal clocks are highly inaccurate, resulting in mis-timestamped footage. Overall, they are acceptable for real-time remote monitoring but inadequate for unattended security. It is advisable to explore other options for reliable site security.

At the time I bought these, they were among the most economical ethernet-wired/wifi security cameras available, so I thought they would be a good budget home monitoring solution. They are in some ways, but not at all in other important ones.The 2K video feed is good - images are sharp and clear. Connectivity has also been reliable so far (both via ethernet and 802.11n) with the 3 I've set up. Remote panning/tilting is a nice feature, as is the remote intercom, so as a real-time remote monitoring tool, these work well.However, as a security alarm system, I have found major issues. The motion detection feature does not work at all: alerts are sent to your phone constantly, even from totally empty, completely motionless rooms, even with motion sensitivity at its lowest setting - making these cameras completely useless as a intrusion alarm. With so many constant false alerts, you will never know when a real one happens.Another problem: the cameras' internal clocks are wildly inaccurate: losing minutes each hour, or worse, resetting themselves to random times at random intervals. The result being, the recorded video events are always mis-timestamped; so, if you do catch an event on the cameras, you can never be sure what time of day they actually happened.So my experience has been: while these work acceptably for real-time remote monitoring & communicating, they are useless for unattended security - if they ever do catch something, you'll never know about it buried behind all the false alarms; and what footage you get will be mis-timestamped so you'll never be sure when it happened, either.Buy these for remote real-time monitoring if that's all you need; but for any unattended site security needs, look elsewhere - these will definitely *not* do that job for you.

Update: I first reviewed this in early 2020 and everything was great. In 2022 the Denale app for the cameras stopped working. I can go to the app and look at my cameras for about 5 seconds before it closes. I'm so disappointed. One camera completely stopped workingOriginal review:I have four of these in my home. What I don't like is that they don't stay logged in the wifi and really loud it keeps repeating (can't find conaton) so now every one knows I have cameras I also thought that when the detet someone aproching they would turn and when someone walking by some time I see them when there gone

This is a great camera. Video is crystal clear in daylight and night vision. Controls are simple and easy to maneuver. I have two cameras on the app and both work great. The second camera is at our condo 500 miles away and no problems. The only thing is these will not work with Alexa even though they are advertised to do so. We have an Echo Show and was hoping to view it on there but it just doesn't work. The app comes up and that's it. Hopefully an update will fix this. Other than that this is a great camera. Easy to set up. When Alexa works will update to 5*. If it didn't advertise to work with Alexa it would be 5*.UPDATE: Software logged my wife out and now won't let her add the cameras back no matter what we do. Deleted reinstalled the app still nothing. No help at all from tech support which is non existent. Contacted Amazon and they said it was a software issue. Issued a return label for the cameras. I will now look elsewhere for 2-3 more. Disappointing as these were working fine until yesterday.

Nice quality picture, fairly easy to set up. It pans up & down, side-to-side. The two way audio is great as well. I highly recommend this camera!!
