Good question Mandy. It appears to be a maintenance door for repair work. Not totally sure though.

You can use a K-Cup with your own coffee with any Keurig unit by removing the insert & inserting the K-Cup. Amazon has the cups.

Q: If i overfill the water reservoir, how do i dump it out? Turn the whole machine over?

Hi. Thank you for you Question. If you have poured more than 10 oz. of water into the Reservoir, the chamber may have been overfilled. Excess water will flow into the Drip Tray by design. Empty the Drip Tray.
