It takes a few days ..
During the first three days I did not notice much difference in the behavior of my cat. On day four I noticed that he is much calmer, will play with the other cat more and is sleeping better. I got this to help relieve his urine marking habits, which is a habit. He will not stop entirely but I hope with time it will happen less often. In the first four day he has marked the house much less, he still gets upset by the cats outside and tries to mark right after seeing them out the window. He still marks when he is angry at me. Neither of these things will go away but he is not marking as often after the use of the Calm Paws Disk.As for the disk it's self: It's Big, much bigger than I expected. I wish it was oval so that it was longer, not so round. It sits oddly on his neck, so I tried his harness today, I still am not liking it, He doesn't seem to care. To give you an idea of it's size, it's as large as a round large dog tag. It slips onto the collar, if it was hanging I think I would like it more. Yet ... I think it has to touch the skin, because now my cat smells like the Calm Paws Disk. That's the second thing I do not really like. My cat smelled like sugar cookies, now he smells like lavender and other essential oils. That being said, It's a trade off. One I will have to decide in 30 days if I like or not.

Better than other aids I've tried
The vet suggested I might try this for my dog who was a rescue and has a lot of problems. She was amazed at how well it worked for a cat patient of hers and thought of my dog. After reading numerous reviews, I felt it was worth a shot. Every animal is different.I just ordered a second disk after the 3 weeks. My dog whines much less and that was a huge plus. I have tried to work with her on calm behavior before meals, etc. She has a long way to go with separation anxiety issues but the disk dies seem to help. I've tried CBD, drugs for anxiety , and Composure with little to no improvement. I'll stick with the disk for now.

Extremely effective but cumbersome design
One of my furbabies is a "scaredy cat" and starting going outside the litter box. When the vet determined there was not an underlying health issue she put my cat on an anti-depressant and suggested a calming collar. When her behavior normalized, I decided to try the collar alone, and found it effective. The issue I had with the collar was it didn't have a safety feature that would allow it to release if it lease if it got caught.I tried this disk since it slips into my cat's existing collar. It is very big and cumbersome, but my (large) cat isn't bothered by it. I would rather buy twice as often for a smaller disk, or spend more money for 2 smaller disks in the same package so there is a design issue. A small cat might really be bothered by the size. (It's about the size of a half dollar coin.)However, the most important thing is that it is effective and is the best solution available. My cat is much calmer and has even started socializing when I have friends over.

kind of helps
My pup is afraid of most everything, unfortunately. from ceiling fans, to garbage cans, to her own dad 🤦🏼♀️ this seems to help mellow her out a bit, but not by much truthfully

Didn't expect this to work so well...
Ever since we got our dog, I dread going to parties at my parents' house. She would bark and growl at EVERYONE who came near us. She has separation anxiety, so putting her in her kennel in another room would cause her to howl and yelp. We have been working on her separation anxiety, but we thought we would give this a try at a Super Bowl party to see if it would make any difference. IT DID. We slid the disk on her collar in the morning (which doesn't smell too bad, it's a bit like a lavender-scented candle) and showed up to the party in the afternoon. Although our dog still barked a few times (because she is still a dog), friends and family could talk to us and even pet her without her growling or snapping. I am VERY happy with this product and will continue to use it. For now, it's in a Ziploc bag until it's needed again! It may become a supplement in her separation anxiety training, but we'll see.

Great product for small dogs !!!
I love this product. Very good for a small 9 lb Coton de Tulear. I originally got this because she was scratching herself so much around her neck that she was bleeding and wouldn’t stop aggravating the wound. This keeps her calm and thankfully she had it on when she was attacked by a pitbull who grabbed her at the neck by sticking his head underneath a neighbors fence. This protected her from being killed. So I can’t say enough about this product.

Cheap and helpful
My pup had TPLO surgery and was super stressed. I believe that this has helped with his anxiety.I'll be ordering another once this one wears out.

Do not waste your money!!!!
Worked like catnip for 10 min. Then became just a chunky blob on my cats collar. Worst spent money ever.
