can you use this to seal a leaking transfer case seal? (would work ? instead of having to replace the seal?)

I guess it depends on if you ever want to fix it right. Once you use this stuff thats how it will be forever, it's not pliable or removable

I striped out an oil drain plug on a generator motor. But there is a second drain on the other side of the engine. Will this seal in oily environment?

if you are thinking about plugging the hole, yes, but if you have access to the inside of the pan i would use it to attach a plate to the inside. you could also grind down the outside free of rust / dirt and use it to bond a plate to the outside. i would be concerned about just using it as a plug, where using it to bond something to the pan would not span a 1/2 to 5/8 in. gap. you might even use a quarter or a nickle or something stainless that will not rust. after it sets, hit it with some high temp paint.

Can you use this on ceramic pottery or is it just for metal?

You can,but for ceramic you dont need the high heat one, just the regular temperature version. This one is for exhausts etc..

Will work to repain a hole in car oil pan under the engine?

Probably. Make sure it is really clean, sand the area where the epoxy goes. Maybe plug the hole with a broken off toothpick if it is still on the car to keep oil from seeping into the epoxy. Put a glob the size of a quarter and make sure the toothpick is covered. Put duct tape over the epoxy until hard. Should work.
