15 cm s.FH 18 German heavy Howitzer: 12 (Camera ON)

The gun on the cover is a 10 cm K18 cannon. It used the same carriage,wheels, as the 15cm, but has a longer slimmer barrel. If you look closely at the point where the barrel steps down to a narrower width, in front of the recuperator, the distances show its the 10cm. The 15 cm stepdown is closer to the recuperator. It’s a common error, but when you’ve seen thousands of photos of both types, like WW2 nerds like me, then you sense it immediately with your super-nerd special powers.After I posted the above, they changed the cover image. I’ve posted the original below.Crazily, they replaced the original incorrect image with a new image, that’s also wrong! it’s another 10cm K18...The way to tell them apart in this new image is the size of the opening in the breech. It’s much bigger for the 15 cm, as you can see in the photo of the green sFh.18 that I’ve put up.I’ve loaded another photo of a real sFh18 15cm on the right...u judge if I’m correct.I haven’t / won’t buy this book...so I’m reviewing the cover only. Caveat emptor.
