Great addition to my tool chest!
I bought this thermal camera after watching videos to show how it could help monitor trailer tires, bearings and brakes while traveling. I picked this camera due to a good price and better resolution and ease of use. The camera works great for monitoring my trailer, I've already determined one of my brakes is not working! Thanks to that safety discovery I feel I've already gotten my money's worth from it. It's very easy and intuitive to use, and works exactly as described in the product description and photos. Next I'm gong to use it to help find a plumbing leak under the kitchen sink.

Excellent Product - better than a $2000 Flir
Excellent thermal camera and specification. Much better than the Uni260B by Uni-T. The overlay image alignment is much better, the picture is much sharper with the faster frame rate, the user interface is also easier. This unit boots in a second or two, the Uni-T takes 20 seconds. I’ve also reviewed tests compared to Flir where this beats out the Flir in every way. And the Flir was over $2000. Highly recommended. I was annoyed that mine was previously opened as the lanyard was already installed and the micro SD was installed. But, it still looks in mint condition and functions flawlessly. Some people return IR cameras because when the excitement where’s off, they want the cash back. They are extremely useful for electrical safety and thermal inspection / insulation work.

Helped me find a hotspot in my ceiling
I recently bought a new home, and one of the rooms was much hotter than the others, so I had the AC company come out to look at it. They were able to immediately diagnose the issue - I had no insulation above that room! They were able to tell by looking with a thermal camera similar to this one. It seemed like a great tool to have so I bought this one, as it was relatively inexpensive compared to others that seemed to have similar capabilities, and looked like a professional product. Once I figured out how to open the box, I used it in my current home, and it helped me find a hotspot in my ceiling that had no insulation either, although this wasn't super surprising to me as it had recently been repaired. So I'm super happy with this thermal imager, but super bummed that I have to call the guy that repaired the ceiling and ask why he didn't put any insulation up there!Anyway, at $130-ish this was more than I really was hoping to spend, but it quickly became my new favorite toy for the day. Aside from the truly beneficial usage described above, I had fun looking at my cat thru the imager - I felt like the Predator from the movies, but my cat survived anyway (and he even got a bit of extra lovin' on top of it!) I was also able to see that the AC vents in my home are probably not angled correctly - they are blowing onto the ceiling instead of down into the room. I could tell because there was a big black "smear" along the ceiling in front of all of the vents. It did require charging before the first use as the recharchable battery (already installed when I received it) was completely devoid of juice but to get a full charge only took 2-3 hours I think? It comes with a USB-C charger which is nice because it means that if you lose the charging cable you can just use one of the other 65 USB-C chargers / cables you have in your home (output of the power supply is USB-A at 5 volts / 2 amps.)So far the only negative points I've found are similar to what I seem to recall reading in other reviews. Every now and then the display will seem to pause, just for a second or so. It doesn't cause a problem - it's just mildly annoying. Also, it does tend to alter the coloration as you point at different things - that is if you see hot and cold in the same view then the hot is obviously hot and the cold is obviously cold , but if you point at something warm and it's the only thing in the view, then the colors change so that it looks more "cold". This probably is by design - I think I was in an "Auto Temperature Scaling" mode or something like that - as I said I haven't really gotten into the settings much yet. I'm guessing that once I check the settings I'll be able to change the way this works, even though this isn't a big issue either.Bottom line - I'm really happy with this purchase, even though it will probably end up being one of those things I use a few times and then put away and never see again. If you are really in the market for a thermal imager, and don't want to spend a lot of money (relatively speaking) but also don't want to buy something that looks like a 4th grader put together for a home science project, then I can't recommend this enough.

Worked alright
I bought to see cold spots around my house during Michigan winters. I have used more expensive ones at work that were better/fancier. This one was simple to use and very basic. For the price it was alright for simple temperature checks but I was hoping for a little more and ended up returning

Works!
I've compared it to a flir and I actually like the use of this one better. Less lag and a bit clearer. I've got maybe 6 hours use out of it so far and it turns on and works when I need it. Don't have any real complaints and I don't see it going bad any time soon as long as its not dropped.

Great portable IR canera
Used this to take pictures of walls . I am able to see details inside the walls as they heat up and cool down. Also can find air leaks by looking for hot and cold areas that should not be present. I found this to be a helpful quality rool
