Brittle. Mixed steel and some bad alloy. Handle with care. Sad outcome
Snapped at the neck after ~three months. Is there no way to submit pictures? So the blade is split in two types of metal - the main thick section is made of some brittle alloy - and the "thin" blade section seems to be the "japanese" high strength steel. A good con. Sad

Great quality, very pleased

Handle is poorly made where the wood is not flush with the metal. The edges are even sharp enough to cut your skin. Second, i highly doubt the HRC written in the details since the steel is incredibly soft and hard to sharpen even with a diamond sharpening stone and shapton korumaku. The apex of the edge rolls incredibly easily. However, the edge geometry is decent.

It is suppose to be made in Japan but the box I received with the knife in had a label on the box which said made in China is this correct? The knife is well made and very sharp.
