Roland: Our Favorite Sriracha Brand
I am very sensitive to ingredients/dishes whose source of spiciness is chilies. The spiciness of the chilies often overwhelms all the other flavors to the point I cannot taste anything else. My daughter is the same way. That being said, if I dial back the amount of chili ingredients in a dish to 1/2 - 1/4 of what is called for in a recipe, the dish is balanced to our taste.Sriracha is an interesting sauce. The basic ingredients of sriracha are chili peppers, vinegar, garlic, sugar, and salt. The recipe used by the various manufacturers of sriracha differ in the percentage of each ingredient used in their recipe. So, the brand of sriracha one prefers is going to be determined by individual taste.Roland Sriracha Chili Sauce was the very first sriracha we tried, and both my daughter and I loved it. When we finished the first bottle, and were unable to buy another locally, we bought - and sampled - several other brands (including the favorite, Huy Fong). At the time, I thought all sriracha sauces were the same. I quickly discovered they are not.To us, there was little difference between the other brands we tried and a bottle of Tabasco. All we could taste was the heat.Roland Sriracha Chili Sauce is the only brand balanced in such a way we are able to discern the entire flavor profile of the sauce. This all to say if you don't like Roland Sriracha and prefer Huy Fong (or one of the other brands) it doesn't mean Roland is a "bad" sriracha and Huy Fong is "good"; it just means your taste buds and brain process the Roland Sriracha's formula in a way that's not pleasing to *you*. Which is fine! But for my daughter and I, Roland Sriracha Chili Sauce is the brand we prefer above all others.

excellent!
expiration date is 08/2012 so no problem there, if you like sweet/hot chili sauce these will be long gone before 13 months is up. Sriracha sauce is good on pizza, any Mexican food, most oriental foods, soups, etc.a little sweeter and not quite as hot as the 'Rooster' sauce that has the green cap Huy Fong, Sriracha Hot Chili Sauce, 17-Ounce Bottles (Pack of 6). still very hot and very garlicky and very good! this was much cheaper (nearly $13 less!) using the Subscribe and Save option than Rooster sauce so i decided to give it a try and its a good substitute. from now on i will just buy Roland because its almost as good and a lot cheaper.get some of these Nong Shim Bowl Noodle, Hot and Spicy and give them a good squirt of Sriracha for a really tasty lunch!

There's a reason it doesn't say "Hot" anywhere
The chili flavor is good but spiciness is milder than mild.

Very average, but worth the price
Well not bad, it isn't great. When you have no other choice, this works, but it has a weird consistency and color--not like the original at all. The flavor is it's saving grace as it isnt bad-but also not great. This can be considered the generic 'white-label' wannabe of the sriracha world.

Sriracha
My husband loves this product! It's not too hot and has a slight sweet taste to it. He uses this Sriracha on almost everything. I bought a pack of 6 during Prime Days in July, he has one bottle left. The 6 pack is a great deal considering it's almost $5 at a competing box store. Give it a try, you'll be pleasantly surprised.

It is Sweet, and NOT Spicey
I personally do not like this. I ordered it got it, opened it, tasted it, and ...blech! I do not recommend it, and I will not order it again. It is sweetened. It has a lot of sugar in it. Also, the spice level is very low. It's nowhere near spicy in my opinion. Furthermore, it has a weird vinegar finish in it. It does not have an Asian flavor to it at all, it tastes American, like vinegared-up ketchup.Maybe sweetened vinegar is your thing. If so, you may want to try this stuff. OH! And it cannot be returned, so factor that into your purchasing decision.
