Follow-up: TOTAL JUNK
Updating- loved this little thing until it completely quit working about 6 weeks after (expensive) installation. Attempted to reach Amazon about return/warranty information and zero response. Sadly... went for loving it to realizing it’s a crap product from a crap manufacturer. I installed this in a sheltered outdoor location at my ranch so my ranch helpers would have a very convenient place to wash their hands often during CovidTIme. It's right outside their office/hangout so they can wash up each time they come back for a tool or break, instead of having to go to another barn for the regular restroom. Installation is not DIY for most folks- we needed the electricians to do the install. That said, so far the unit is sturdy and products abundant hot water for a couple people to wash their hands well at a time. What I especially like about this unit is the very compact size- worked great in our location.

I thought it might be DoA like others reported
Works well enough for a sink, and only that. Nobody should be under any illusions this is meant for anything but.. When I first hooked it up, purged the air, turned on the electric and hit the power button, nothing happened. I thought it might be DoA like others reported; sure I wired it correctly as the other 120v device on the same circuit was working, I tried running some water, and boom it lit up. For some reason the power button will turn on/off when no water is flowing, but the LED display will not illuminate unless so. Live in southern California, Santa Barbara, its almost September, ground water is getting fairly cold. Heats only about 0.25GPM to "hot" ~95-100*. Thinking of replacing with the 6kw, uses the same wiring just gotta make room in my panel for another double pole breaker.

Slightly missed the mark! But overall, I'm (STILL) very happy!
Update: 12-27-2020 This unit has been used on a daily basis for 2 years now. It's installed in an RV, where either myself or others live full time... MY ORIGINAL REVIEW STANDS; this water heater has met my needs (in Central Florida) even during the coldest part of the winter. The only issue is the low flow rate required to achieve 35°F increase, but that is a factor of energy-in vs. energy-out... The limiting factor is 120 VAC, which is my choice to allow its (occasional) use on an inverter powered by solar/batteries. I would highly recommend the 230 Volt version if your installation allows for it. 12-26-2018 The unit has been installed and working fine for approximately one month. In real life, I do not see the stated temperature rise. The packaging indicates 47.8° F temperature rise at a flow rate 0.5 GPM. The lowest flow rate that this unit will allow is 0.45 GPM... Any lower flow rate and the device shuts off the heating element - apparently this is to protect from overheating. While testing at 0.45 GPM, the maximum temperature rise I have experienced was 39.6°F. In a bench test configuration the current draw was 28 amps at 122 volts (3,416 watts). Considering the flow rate was slightly below 0.5 GPM, I've concluded that this unit does not efficiently transfer energy to the water. At least not efficient enough to achieve the rated temperature rise of 47.8°F at 0.5 GPM. Although it does not quite hit the mark regarding efficiency, IT CERTAINLY FITS MY NEEDS. For that reason I'm keeping it, and in fact will likely purchase one or two more of these units. Possibly I will buy a larger unit for another location.

Great device if you know what to expect.
The unit functions as it is supposed to and my lack of stars has to do with my own expectations. I was hoping for instant hot water. What it delivers is cool to warm to hot water depending on the rate and duration of flow. It takes about a second to come on once the spigot is open, then you need to tweak the flow of water to get it to 1. get hotter, and 2. stay on. Too slow and it turns off. And if you shut off the hot spigot for a minute or so, then turn it back on, the water that was sitting in the heating coils all that time will be VERY hot -- for a second or two -- then be replaced by cold water until the unit fires up again and starts heating. So, there is nothing wrong with this product. I was just hoping (dreaming) of endless, instant, hot water.

It solved my problem at a second kitchen sink perfectly ...
It solved my problem at a second kitchen sink perfectly. Had an initial kink in that it did not work and marked E1 on the display which I could not find its meaning anywhere. Was finally able to contact the manufacturer who sent me a heat sensor to replace the problem. When I opened the casing I discovered that the sensor had not been plugged in. It has been working well since.

Nice - does the job well - great value
This is the 2nd one I've bought for my house. (The other was the 6W) They are both great units for heating the water at a kitchen sink before the hot water can make it upstairs from the basement. The only drawback is that the temperature cannot be set to a certain limit (to the best of my knowledge). It sometimes gets very hot before evening out. All adults in this household, so it's not a problem. You might want to be careful with small kids . All in all, a great value. We're happy with them.

Almost Warn not hot
Pro: Small and tidy , turns on when you turn on the water and then turns off when you close the water so pretty energy saving. Con: Its not really hot, although the temp monitor shows 90s yet you get maybe mid 70s, also water pressure gets reduced a bit and you can't turn on the cold water to get pressure since the temp is not that hot.

En la propaganda del video, no se distingue cuales modelos son los que tienen control de temparatura. En particular este modelo NO controla la temperatura y el flujo es limitado, por lo que no lo instale. La calidad exterior se ve excelente, parece ser un muy buen equipo.

Installed unit and water is luke warm at best. Go on to manufactures web site and it says this model is not intended for use in Canada because of our cold inlet water. Very disappointed with Amazon. This product should not be listed on the Canadian Web Site.

Have it installed in washroom for a shop. Works great, delivers warm water after 10sec. or so. After a minute it reached over 40 Celsius.
