Jeep Top
We searched for months looking for an affordable soft top that included all hardware. This was very reasonably priced and easy to install not to mention it’s beautiful and durable. We are very pleased!!

Good entry level top for the price. Instructions were not easy to follow, and hardware could be upgraded to stainless steel.
Okay, so long time coming review here. I'll start by saying, 3 stars for the top itself, and 4 stars for the Rampage Customer Service. I'll explain that later. For starters, I see all the one star reviews, and I'll shed some light on those."It's cheap, buy a Best Top etc." Yes, it is a cheap top. It is the base model top for Rampage, there aren't many frills in this model. For the price, it isn't bad, considering similar tops cost as much or more."The instructions suck." Well, yeah, the instructions were a little hard to follow. But it took about 3 hours on a good sunny day to put it together. Some of the hardware is not of the best quality. Again, base model top here. I ordered this in August of 2017, it's June 2018. Some of the hardware is rusting, so I may have to replace it with stainless steel, but a few reviews mentioned that. Some of the hardware was crooked, or bent, nothing a little tweak couldn't fix. I will advise this. When you get the top, go over all the hardware with a fine tooth comb. There was one part broken, while not critical, I wish I had taken care of it before I even installed the top."The hardware is cheap" Well yes, again, entry level top here. Today, some of the hardware has broken, and I need to figure out a replacement option. I contacted Rampage, and their advice was to buy another hardware kit. But they are being more than generous with another problem with the top, a zipper problem, and I'll mention that later.Okay, the first important thing, don't mess with this top unless it is warm outside, including installing it. I left it draped over a fence on a sunny warm day for a few hours to let it loosen up. I have a 1991 Wrangler, and ordered the hardware kit for a complete install, converting from a hardtop, with full steel doors. I got the black denim and it looks nice. The material is thick, the seams are well stitched, and almost a year down the road, through a New Jersey winter with heavy snowfall, it is doing very well. I recommend everyone who gets any soft top, gets the kit to maintain the fabric, the vinyl windows, and the zippers.......ESPECIALLY the zippers! I had a point, after the winter, where I did not open the rear window for a long spell. The first nice spring day, I went to role the back window up, no problem. Got home, went to roll it down, the zipper on the passenger side went down, and completely off the tracks. The metal stops at the end of the zipper were missing, and it was a nightmare. With the tension on the top, the rest of the zipper came apart. After a few hours of struggling, I managed to get it back together...very tedious, very frustrating. I have contacted Rampage about this, since it was still under warranty, and they are taking care of it, sending me a replacement rear window. I would advise everyone who gets a soft top, take care of it, don't let snow build up on it, I didn't. Get the kit to lubricate the zippers. I didn't. And exercise the zippers often, I think that is one of the problems, it sat all winter not being used. All that being said. This is a great top for the money. It looks good on the Jeep, it's a little difficult to 'drop', and I had to get a few small bungee cords to manage the frame supports from flying around or sticking out. Think old school convertible top. Most days I just roll up the back window. If I'm really liking the weather, I take out the side windows as well. I had a hardtop and I took every opportunity to get that thing off, but with the back window up, the side windows out, the top adds a nice bit of shade, and I realize how many tops I have been baking under the sun at a stop light.Bottom Line: It's a good top, but a basic top, no frills. The hardware leaves a lot to be desired, if you can and are able, take the hardware to your local hardware store and buy stainless steel versions, so you can avoid rusting. Get the kit to wash off the top, and add the protectant. Bird droppings really can do a number on the fabric. Get the kit to treat and lubricate the zippers, I think that will help. And definitely get the kit to clean and maintain the vinyl windows. I see too many tops, where the windows are cloudy or brittle. Also, there are aftermarkets products, a tube that mounts across the back of the Jeep to hold your windows rolled up, look into that, it is a good idea for storage trust me. And last, the instructions are not the best, I watched a few videos beforehand. But the best advice I can give you, let the top warm up in the sun before you put it on. Take your time, read and re-read the steps before you install it. If you're not sure, try calling Rampage and see if they can help. Being under the hot sun definitely shortened my patience, but I figure it out, and if a caveman like me can, I'm sure you can as well. There are other tops out there, of course, more money. I plan on upgrading, and getting a nicer top, but for now, this one works fine and suits my needs. A soft top, with windows that zip out, and I can unhook and lay back when I want to. If you're looking for that easy convertible feel, I would suggest the Sunrider top from Best Top. It has a panel that goes over the front seats, that unhooks with two latches at the top of the windshield, and the whole thing folds back.

Great top and a great price (I paid $433.99)
It was easy to install although the directions could have been better, the top material is good quality as is he window plastic, I got the tented windows. I'm planing to do a short review/installation video and will update with the link when I do. there are no instructions on how to put the top down and I may have done it wrong but it didn't fold down as nice as the "Best-top" a club buddy has but it was secure and didn't flap or flop around

It is what it is
I mean I wasn't expecting anything too wild given Rampage's QC standards. It does mostly go on, and with some heat it was relatively easy to fit up the first time. What do you expect from a 600 dollar soft top with all the hardware?! The zippers aren't great. It makes more noise than an oem one. And I am sure it will last a few years. It will keep most of your jeep dry.

excellent quality
very good quality, fit like a glove, all hardware was included, very nice fabric and well made, no leakes in florida rainy season! Instructions were a little vague. Found a you tube video that made installation easy.Took a total of 2 hours to install.

Disappointing Zipper Quality Makes the Soft Top Useless
I was initially impressed with the appearance of the Rampage Complete Soft Top. However, I am extremely disappointed with the quality of the windows, specifically the zippers that are supposed to attach them to the soft top.Despite trying to attach the windows in warm weather (at and above 75 degrees), the zipper would not function correctly and caused the zipper pull to pull away from the main soft top fabric. Now, the zipper will not function at all because it keeps pulling away from the main soft top fabric and stays attached to the window, which it’s not supposed to do. This flaw has now made the windows completely useless because they will not attach to the soft top. I expected much better durability and performance from a product at this price point.

Seam split during install Lil cheap
Manufacturer sent a new piece but seams split upon install very tight fitting top. It looks good but is not the sturdiest. The main frame is held together by breakable plastic frame pole clips. And the tops seams were splitting after install was complete. Company was quick to make it right which is a BIG PLUS. Good American Company but maybe spend a lil more and buy a top from them or someone else that have Metal marine style zippers and stronger stitching at seems.
