In an effort to save money, I've been doing my own manicures & pedicures. I was kind of hesitant getting a glass file. I am a total clutz, so I was sure I'd reach for this one time and break it. So far, so good. Files SMOOOOTHLY! You literally will have the smoothest nail edge ever! Works great on natural nails! Unfortunately I don't wear acrylics, but I'm sure this would work just as well on them.Hot tip: File your nails in one direction, and that also helps with splitting and chipping nails. The case is awesome; I can toss it in my purse and not have to worry about it getting scratched up or broken. I've seen people ask about that hole in the bottom....if you push the file completely in where it kind of "clicks," the tip is actually fitting in that hole keeping it totally secure in the case. I'm a total convert! I threw out all my emory boards and will only use this! Its super easy to clean and disinfect, and I'll be getting a second one for my toes!

These do an amazing job and won’t tear your nails up like traditional nail files. Minus 1 star because when I carried it in my purse, the case opened somewhere along the way and the file fell out and broke in two.So although I wish the case were a little more secure, the file itself is excellent and I do highly recommend it. You will never go back to paper or metal nail files! Just put it somewhere safe when you travel with it...don’t let it float around in your purse.As for the colors, I ordered a pastel lilac and a light pink. They are almost indistinguishable. Very pretty but almost hard to see the difference. I will post photos to show the colors.

I really love this nail file. I got it and used it as soon as I was doing another manicure. I grow my nails out fairly long using the OPI Nail Envy treatment and since it was time to do another big chop I used this crystal file and it really does work better than a regular file or emery board. The smooth no jagged edges to my natural nail was a nice finish to my manicure. The emery board and a smooth grit nail file in the picture was what I use to use to do my manicure. They are now in the trash.

I'm in love with this crystal file and the accompanying hard storage case. To start with, I'm a diabetic and I was having issues with the standard emery boards tearing up the skin surrounding my nailbeds, causing me to have hangnails and skin infections. I haven't had that problem with this crystal file, which is making me happy. Secondly, the file works wonderfully, whether it's a small nick in the nail or a broken nail, it works fast and it's easy to take care of the problem. Finally, I don't know if it's the hard case, but this is the first file that made it's way to me in one piece. I'm a very happy camper.

So I love glass nail files. This product I received about 2 weeks ago. I'm wondering if the item I received was defective and not the standard quality. I noticed a weak spot in it upon arrival and it seemed slightly cracked but not broken in half, so I didn't mind too much because I could still use it. Until today when it took a very short fall while inside it's case to the carpet. It broke into many pieces. I wouldn't be opposed to trying another from this company because I do feel like I just got one that wasn't the best quality but I'm pretty disappointed because it was the only glass file I had on hand at the moment and I refuse to use regular files.

This thing shreds down nails pretty effectively! Rounding out my nails and shaping them has never been easier.A few complaints though:- The case is extremely thin that I’m worried it’s going to snap when I pick it up- I think I just have a very bad filing technique but my nails have been peeling in layers which is not fine at allTo elaborate on my first complaint:The actual thickness of the case is pretty decent (2-4mm) but the actual plastic is extremely lightweight that I’m partially convinced the plastic is hollow.

I bought this as a gift for my friend's birthday. It wasn't a hint at anything, she'd visited me and seen my glass nail file and was hugely impressed by it. So, of course I had to buy her one. Really liked how professional this one looks and it has the fancy carrying case as well. Bonus, it happened to match the shirt she was wearing. She keeps it in her purse now and really loves it, so whether you're getting this for yourself or as a gift, you can't go wrong. Also, glass nail files are really cool, long lasting, and satisfying to own. It's a small luxury that you'll feel good about every time you use it.

Seems good so far. I've just used it on my natural nails once and it did a nice job without leaving any rough edges. The case is nice and the lid on it seems secure - I don't know how well it would hold up being thrown into a giant purse, but I don't plan to do that. Happy so far, will be 5 stars if it's durable.
