Great for getting rid of slugs and snails
This product was very effective in killing slugs and snails in and around my garden so it was well worth the money.

WORKS
Every year I have battled slugs in my garden. I have used various brands of bait for slugs and this is the only one that has worked completely . Better than Corey’s and Sluggo!!! Yes, it gets fuzzy after awhile of being moist but it still works. Just hose it down if the fuzz bothers you. Doesn’t harm the plants and the birds don’t try and eat it. No smell.

Works fine but the pellets are too big
The slugs like it and after 1 week I don't see slugs anymore. But I have same ingredients pellets from another brand and they are much smaller and easier to handle.

It really works.
This review is for the Garden Safe, not the Dr, T's it keeps showing. I have used Sluggo for years. Because my property is so waterlogged, with me not even being able to mow the whole thing until mid-June, I have dealt for years with slugs and snails literally dripping off every surface to the point where I spent several hours every day going around knocking them into containers and then destroying them with ammonia water. A few years ago I went out to the garden to see three enormous slugs hanging on one ripe tomato. It was so discouraging. And disgusting. This year when I went to buy the Sluggo, I noticed how expensive it had gotten, and I am also struggling financially. I decided to buy the Garden Safe because it was cheaper. I looked up both products and discovered they're slightly different chemically, but this one actually kills the slugs and snails faster. So I bought two bags. I noticed right away that, like one reviewer stated, the granules are much bigger, which gave me pause, but there was nothing to be done about it, so I just went ahead and used it. I can't even begin to explain how this product has changed my life. Before, I literally could not put an implement down on the grass without having to inspect it when picking it back up so that I wouldn't inadvertently squash a snail in my hand. I couldn't put a hand or lean on anything without checking first. In the morning they were everywhere. They crawled up the lawn chairs and tables and slugs lurked on the undersides of all my pots and containers after feeding on my plants all night, even if I had them on 3-foot-high benches. The large slugs come out to breed around 7 PM, and for years I would spend literally an hour or more every night killing them. Snails dripped off blades of grass and especially the undersides of dandelion leaves, which they love. Since starting to use this product, I have been able to walk on the grass without shoes on--something I haven't done in years. Slugs still congregate around my small 8X4 raised bed, where they actually live in the dirt. Last night I dug out about 35 or 40 of them, which sounds like a lot to most people, but to me it was a huge relief. I still tip them into a container and then add an ammonia/water solution to kill them. But the reason I only have the 8X4 is because it became impossible to grow anything in my once-fairly-large garden area. Even after rain, I can go outside and pick off a tenth of what I did before. I did notice that some of it got moldy, and I don't know why, but that wasn't a dealbreaker for me. I am enjoying the outdoors like I haven't for many years because of this product. Thank you, Garden Safe.

Not as safe or effective as Sluggo, but faster and costs less
I like having the option, and the price. Sluggo has Iron phosphate which is much less toxic to dogs, but also takes longer, as much as seven days, to kill slugs. Safer Brand, Ferric sodium EDTA works almost like iron phosphate but quicker, killing slugs and snails in about three days....but is not as safe for dogs if they eat it. Both products are Organic. Both are safe for non-target species (earthworms, birds, cats, etc). While both of these products are slow to kill, slugs stop feeding almost right away after eating the bait of either product. The Safer Brand costs about 1/2 the price of Sluggo. So, if you have pets, like I do, I would stick to Sluggo even if it costs more. If you don't have pets, then Safer Brand may be your choice. Note: People often scatter these around plants where they see slugs and snails...this is a mistake because it attracts the pests! Scatter it near, not around, your target areas. :)

Works immediately, works very long-term (over a month so far)
Our hostas no longer look like they've been consecrated by the Pope. (Dad-joke for "holy"), so my wife & I like it. The slugs seem to feel otherwise & have been boykotting my flower beds since application. No organized protests though, so we still have no idea what slug-protest-signs would look like. My bet is they would look slimy, just like their trails... The most upvoted review here theorizes that slugs might still be eating you plants prior to their expiration, however, after surrounding our ornamental plants with a light sprinkling of pellets around the border of the flower beds, and a little in between plants, I saw no slug damage to a single leaf until we top-dressed the beds with compost, covering up the soil that had received the initial application. I reapplied the next day, and saw no additional damage since then, several weeks ago. Deer are another story...

Well worth it. Keeps the slugs away.
Used regularly, applied roughly every 3 weeks, and my strawberries are no longer being attacked by slugs!
