USB WiFi Adapter, Wireless USB Adapter Dual Band Network Dongle with Antenna for PC/Desktop/Laptop/Mac,Support Windows 10/8.1/8/7/XP/Vista,Mac OS 10.4~10.14

When I plugged it in Windows had the drivers so I thought 'all was good'. Not good (read below) but later I installed it using the installation disk. Now it works. I would give it 5-Stars but the included software interface just gets in the wayI bought it for the 5G. It connects to my ARRIS cable modem 2.4G and works fine. Problem is I bought it for 5G and it does connect but "No Internet Access". So I wasted my money and since I waited too long to try and can't return it so it will sit in my drawer forever or maybe eBay.

Does everything as advertised, Windows 10 Pro discovered the device and installed the Realtek drivers without installing supplied drivers from CD, I did install the utility that was on the CD that came with this adapter wanted to see what it was and what options it provided, no big deal if you install or not if you know how to configure network adapters you can bypass this utility. I have Xfinity Blast which gives me 250Meg Download, and with this WiFi adapter on the 5GHz it had a speed of 163Mbps download....good enough for meI like the dual band, and I installed this on my desktop computer if I ever lose my cable provided internet I can turn my smartphone into a hot-spot and still get on-line (I'm on T-Mobile and their "free" hot-spot gives you 512kbps down and up or symmetrical which limits your usage, but I'm fine with it for free and this WiFi adapter is used as a backup just for that...no gaming on 512kbps :)

I dual boot windows 10 and debian linux; I use debian as a main OS. The instructions are pretty clear on how to get the driver installed. They give you a link to a github, and give you the basic commands on how to compile the driver. Just be warned that the driver has SERIOUS problems with kernels at or above 4.15; there are several patched versions on github, but of the few I actually managed to get to compile, none worked beyond a simple network scan.That being said, I compiled it using kernel 4.9.8 and it works fine (including the 5 GHZ).

I am surprised that there are not (maybe not yet?) too many reviews about its durability. It was easy to install and worked great at first. After a couple weeks, it started giving some signs of problems. Then it broke down quickly. Some people mentioned this in the product and also the seller's reviews.Another thing is that it sticks out on a laptop. It's small but surprisingly easy to be bumped into, and apparently it is very fragile. You might want to keep it protected for longer lifespan.

I have it in my workshop that is at least 100 foot away from my internet connection and it still picks up 3 bars. Great wifi adapter!

I recently upgraded to fiber optic internet, but my laptop only had a 2.4 Ghz wireless adapter. My speeds were at best 30 Mbps, not terrible, but definitely not the 100 Mbps I pay for. I installed the drivers from the included CD, plugged in the adapter and connected to my 5 Ghz network, and voila! My speeds shot up to 105-110+Mbps! Definitely a great deal!

The wireless receiver inside my notebook PC gave up the ghost a few weeks ago. This LESVIEO USB WiFi adapter gave my PC a new life. This device apparently is based on RealTek technology. RealTeK is so common that the needed drivers are built into Windows 10, so to get this thing going took little more than just plugging into an unused USB port. Works great.

I was going to give this five stars because it connected quickly and worked great - for two months. It now works for a short time, then stops. I have to unplug it and plug it back in to get it to start working again. No better than the problem I was trying to solve.
