Love it

Was gifted a vodka selection pack for Christmas which amongst others contained Lakes Salted Caramel and Lakes Esspresso vodkas. Really liked both but did find the salted caramel a little sickly after a while so treated myself to the full size bottle of the Espresso. Really enjoyed it and now looking to get my next bottle. Other reviews have said the coffee flavour is not strong enough but I think it is just right.

Bought as a gift

Bought this for my brother in law, who really likes coffee flavour vodka. He is very happy with it, especially when served cold.

Smooth and subtle, but arguably too subtle.

Whilst some flavoured spirits seem to use the alcohol as a background delivery system for a strong foreground flavour, this is very much a vodka first.If you enjoy a refined palate, which clearly I don’t, you may well enjoy the subtle nature of the flavour. But personally, it is too subtle for me.First taste, and this is very much vodka, possessing a somewhat oily quality akin to Absolut but undoubtedly smooth. The coffee only really appeared for me at the finish. And that finish is good.Taste is of course subjective and it’s possible I will warm to it over time. It may work better with a mixer or as part of a cocktail (although I generally enjoy my drinks 'raw'). It certainly isn’t unpleasant, quite the reverse, and the bottle and labelling oozes style, but if you’re looking for a huge hit of coffee this perhaps isn’t for you.
