This was THE FAVORITE gift my 7 year old received Xmas 2025. The absence of the battery compartment screw is not an issue, in fact it’s preferable given that this not a gift for toddlers. The battery door stays on without the screw, so yatzee.

Bought in September for a Christmas gift (trying to get ahead of the game). When the recipient opened it- it the batteries were missing from the actual battery package that came with it and the lid to the battery slots on the hand held was off and floating in the box. Clearly the package had been open/tampered with. Now the return window is closed
