Wow. These salt and pepper grinders are amazing! The mechanisms work smoothly with little effort to grind, the grinders fit well in our hands, and they look really nice on the table. I purchased the optional Cole & Mason Salt and Pepper Mill Tray (brown wood) to go with them. The tray is great because it keeps the table clean from the little bit of salt and pepper that could sometimes fall. Am extremely happy with this purchase!

Very smooth action, very easy to operate. However, left-handed folk may find it a little difficult to use. But if you grip the barrel of the grinder with your left hand and twist with your right, it will work a little better. Otherwise, this feels very well-made and grinds extremely smoothly.

A few months ago I bought a highly-rated famous name brand manual pepper grinder for more money. It lasted about a month. "Product Support" was just a fairy tale. No product support.According to reviews, this baby performs well and has excellent product support.SO: I got it. I tried it out. It does a fine job grinding my mixed-size peppercorns to the desired coursenessbutthe output is pretty small. That is: it takes quite a bit of twisting to output the amount of pepper you might use when cooking (which is definitely one of the reasons I wanted a pepper grinder).I get about 1/8 tsp of fine-ground pepper per minute of frenetic grinding.Disappointing, but not a deal breaker. I will definitely continue using the grinder, but I wish I didn't have to work so hard at it.4 stars only because it takes so much "work" to get the pepper out.Pros?- Holds a lot of peppercorns- Seems to work fine with the assorted-type peppercorns (with corns of different sizes and colors)- Looks pretty nice (but note: not super-fancy. My previous crappy name-brand grinder looked like a work of art.)- Reviews claim great customer support. (I hope I don't need it.)- Comfortable to hold (but not so comfortable to twist. Maybe I'm too old for this style of grinder...)

6.5 inch pepper grinderArrived in a bag wrapped in a smaller plastic bag, so no points for classiness.on the 'fine' setting, i.e. turning the knob on top so that it was fairly tight, the peppercorns were ground to a fine homogeneous state.Turning the knob to the left let through larger bits of the peppercorn.The grinder looks well with a matte finish. The effort needed to grind was minimal.I'll update the review after it has been used for a while.

Perfect. It works really nice, not a cheapy one but not expensive either. It does everything my old one did. And it’s not too heavy it’s just perfect! Very happy with this purchase! 5 ⭐️

Great but two issues, first, get the bigger one. This one needs refilling too often. That's the price you pay for an effective grinder. Second, it only grinds fine, course grind is not an available option
