This book has information on how to make hand cut dovetails and the difference between styles etc. it also previews several maker’s of machine dovetails on strengths and weakness on each of them with a spread sheet. This book helped me make a informed choice on purchasing a dovetail jig that is better engineered for more option’s I don’t have with my first dovetail jig.

It’s always good to have woodwork books in the shop. If you come across something that you need an answer to. Joinery is very important. This is my go to book for joinery.

I must have used a staple gun and glue for thousands of joints over the years. I thought I was really slick when I discovered Kreg joinery. But now that I have time on my hands, I want to build boxes, cabinets, and drawers that my grandchildren will use and admire. This introduction to dovetail joinery will clear up a lot of "how did they do that" questions, and point you towards some pro quality tools and fixtures for making "top drawer" furniture. I've always loved the fine craftsmanship of the dovetail that I've wanted to learn it. I would recommend this book to all interested in making dovetails by hand and by routers.
