Hello Gabriel. This wood isn't pressure treated and thus, chemical free.

Q: Is this cedar pressure treated? Also how high is this bed- only width and length are given.

It is not pressure treated. It is 10 inches high. I've had mine since March and it's showing no sign of deterioration. I love it. I'm going to buy more.

It sits on the ground. The pets as well. The post come higher than the case

The amount you need is about 2 feet x 10 inches x 8 ft or roughly 16 cubic feet. The dirt will settle over time.
