Exactly as I had hoped it would be! Fits perfectly true to size, compact and lightweight. You can't expect miracles in a downpour, but yes - I would consider this to be effectly rain and wind resistant. I especially apprecate the length - at 5'8 it goes down just past my bum. It's the perfect little jacket to shove into a backpack or carry-on. Will keep you warm if you get chilly on an airplane. Highly recommend.

amazing for what it is and the price. fits a little big, but it’s good cause it keeps you covered. the zipper is a little sticky, but not that bad. it’s pretty heavy and on the warm side, so it’s not ideal in warm climates like where i was in costa rica. the style is basic, and it packs back into the bag well. it’s not wind resistant.

Great basic rain coat. Good zipper, basic style and very thick but thick enough to keep you dry. Blue is dark.

I used this rain jacket during a spring trip to Lisbon and Spain where it rained almost every day. It was absolutely perfect for the trip. It kept me dry without feeling heavy or bulky. When I wasn’t using it, it folded up easily and fit right into my backpack without taking up much space. It is lightweight, comfortable, and great for travel. I highly recommend it for anyone needing a reliable rain jacket on the go. It is a great value! I will be taking it to Florida next and I know it will hold up well and keep my dry.

You get what you pay for. The material doesn’t feel substantial. Just spend $10 more and get the Columbia rain coat.

This is a great raincoat. It has kept me dry in pouring rain. I don’t get sweaty in it like a slicker. The black one looks nice enough to wear over something dressy. It folds well into its pouch. I sewed the pouch on so it doesn’t get lost. The hood stays on even in the wind. I just convinced myself to buy a light colored one. Pockets keep stuff in, since they open on the top, with a fold of fabric covering the opening. There is Velcro holding the pocket closed, which could be annoying if you want fast access, but that feature ensures nothing will fall out. I take this everywhere.

I purchased this jacket for a trip to Croatia & Slovenia. It was PERFECT. I went for 11 days with only a carry-on & the jacket was lightweight & took very little space in my bag. Two days of hiking were in the rain & the jacket kept my upper body completely dry - and it was DOWNPOURING at times. I hung the jacket to dry overnight & it was completely dry the next morning. If you plan to wear a bag/small backpack, I'd recommend ordering a size up. That way, you can wear the jacket over your bag. I highly recommend this rain jacket - value priced & great quality! Here's to happy hiking & maybe even dancing in the rain!
