The spear is heavy but comes as advertised and is high quality!
A weapon elitist might rate this thing 3 or 4 stars. It does have some flaws that may not be entirely apparent at first:1. There is an extremely slight bend to the blade. It's hardly noticeable to the naked eye. You'd have to hold it completely still and look along the point of the blade to see it. I think this goes to show that these were hand-made by an artisan rather than produced by some factory-mold and cutting process.2. The spear is very heavy, perhaps heavier than you would have predicted. This makes it somewhat unwieldy or at least constrains the ways you could use it.3. The screw that is used to join the 2 staff-portions of the blade together is actually a single loose piece of metal that simply rests in between the staff pieces.4. If you swing this thing vigorously or have any kind of twisting motion, the spearhead and staff can become ever so slightly unscrewed. This generally would not be a problem though - the screw planes are long and secure but it could be somewhat annoying to keep having to slightly tighten the staff/spearhead during prolonged use.Overall though I would rate this spear 5 stars since it came exactly as advertised! I included pictures for anyone curious. It comes with a very simple but nice leather sheath, and a red, fibery tassel that you can tie on to the spearhead if you like. The spearhead is both very pointy and sharp along the edges so you could either cut or thrust with this spear if you so wished. The spear's height is shown in a picture next to a 5'9 human for comparison. The spear is entirely made of metal so it is very heavy. Also, the spearhead by itself would make a very decent shortsword since you can unscrew it from the staff!Lastly: The spear does come as advertised, including the weight. It weighs around 7 pounds which doesn't sound heavy, but if you try to do any flashy spins or swing it around, you'll see how cumbersome it is. The center of balance is about 20 to 30% of the way in between the center of the spear and the spear-tip. You absolutely can swing it with decent force though. Stabbing with it feels good until you try and stab with only 1 hand. It's heavy enough that you'll need a lot of forearm/wrist strength to hold it up properly.

strong lance
I Received three pieces. Everything is good quality, but the rod has both external ends threaded, so there is no way to screw the bottom piece to the top. The part that screws into the spearhead should not be external threads on both ends, or the lower piece should be internal threads. Discovered one of the threaded pieces was actually an insert removed it and both pieces screwed together no idea why the insert was there.
