Not meant for jewelry
My wife had an old necklace from her mother that had some inlaid pearls. The glue holding the pearls was yellowing, so we cleaned it up with some cleaner and notice the chain around her neck had some bare spots on it where the silver plating was missing.Tried this product as directed and it never stuck to those bare spots and the rest of the chain links turned pewter in color, it was extremely tedious trying to clean and buff it back to being shinny. I tried several coatings as directed and it just become harder and harder to buff it out. In the end I bought a new chain to connect to the pearl section and threw out the old one, It looked worse than when I started. Maybe it works on nice large flat things like knives and spoons, but it really should not be used on jewelry. I should have give it just 1 star, but maybe it will work on something else. Plus it came with a bottle of cleaner that actually works.

It is either great or garbage
I think it really depends on what base material you are using it on and how the silver plate is applied.I tried it on brass based silver plate. Plating was about 40 years old. Despite the number of times it was cleaned and /or polished it simply rubbed off the shine leaving you with a rubbed nickel look. For my purposes it certainly did not appear to add silver or silver color. I used it on a sugar bowl and just the lid. The lid now looks dull and lifeless. Prior to that it had a golden shine which was the sign of its age and really was probably better left alone.I say in the future I will stick to traditional cleaning / polishing and if I really want my silver back suck it up and have it re-plated.I suspect with the mixed reviews that it must work for some things. It did not work for me though. I tossed the product as I don't have a need to plate pennies.For what I paid it was an experiment but probably not worth the cost as I just sold the tea set I tried to shine back at an auction. It wasn't worth the cost to re-plate.

I recommend this company because the product didn't work for me. But it was the material that I tried to use it on. The company gladly refunded my money. I would recommend that you give the product a try. It may work for you.

**warning** Contains Latex gloves
I just ooened this package without think8ng and it contains opened latex gloves. They aren't sealed so as soon as you open the product they are Right there. I am currently taking medication as I am highly allergic to latex..

I love it !
I ordered this item without knowing anything about it but I was pleased to know how great this product is after using it a few times. I now am ready to order another bottle soon because I'm already getting low on the bottle I have. Also it was a first service I'm pleased with. Only a few days later I recieved the product ! Electroless Liquid Silver Plating Solution
This product should be taken off the market. It is a complete sham. My silver turned black and it won't polish out. At least before I used this product I still had the use of the silverware now I can't. It is very upsetting and the worst of it is that the company won't respond to my request for a refund. MAGIC!!!
This stuff is amazing! I have a set of silver plated silverware that was very worn with copper showing through in places and some pieces had scratches in the silver. It took a while and a lot of polishing, but this stuff works like magic! I was amazed by the results. I'm going to buy some more soon.
