Finally - a bike computer that worked more than 3 times in a row without failing
This was the 3rd (cheap-ish price range) bike computer I purchased in the past 30-45 days. The other 2 were both wireless / magnet attached to the wheel. One died after the 2nd use, and the other's ad simply lied (showed distance reading to 3 decimal places; it only went to 1 with no way to adjust the settings). This is the first GPS-style unit I ever tried and I bought it on Prime Day. I've now used it 8 or 9 times (riding an avg of between 7-12 miles each time) and it's unquestionably the best unit I've owned...primarily because it still WORKS, and has been extremely accurate so far. I tried riding the same routes several times over and the accuracy is within 0.1-0.2 miles each time, and that more than accounts for any margin of error on my part as a rider (weaving down streets and sidewalks, avoiding other humans in my path, etc).My favorite aspect is how easy it was to install (the base just rubber-band-style straps onto your handlebars - or your stem, depending on your preference) and you rotate the unit to secure it in place or grab it to take with you in your pocked if you park your bike somewhere public.I have no idea how this unit compares to other GPS units, but compared to ANY traditional wired or wireless magnet-on-the-wheel unit I've owned (and I've had 5 or 6) I could never go back to the old ways.I haven't ridden for more than 2 hrs in one sitting yet so I can't comment on the battery life...maybe I'll see how many trips it can do on a single charge next time just to test it out, but so far so good.Happy riding!

Works great, simple straight forward….
I’m writing a very quick initial review. Which I will update in the future. Received a same day order. This is perfect for me. I ride a simple Mobo Shift single speed trike. It isn’t a speed machine. Twice this clocked it at 8.6 MPH. I just tool around my neighborhood for exercise, as well as an escape from the house. This will not be used for anything serious. I just have a desire to know my mileage, and time. I might add it is water proof if you don’t ride in a drenching rain. The back light function is bright, but zaps battery life. I don’t foresee using the back light feature. But it’s nice to have, it’s pretty bright. The set up is super simple, it connected in seconds. DON’T trust the time zones listed in the manual, they are NOT correct. Google your time zone, I live in the Pacific Northwest, Washington State, I chose Seattle time zone which puts the number at -7:00. Time & date is all set automatically, once you punch in your location. You will do real well to look up MEILAN products.com and get your instructions there. They are much easier to read. You can find some very simple, easy to follow instructions on You Tube, also. It keeps stats for 30 days, so if I want to know over all miles I will be keeping a written running tab on the stats. I feel if you are into serious biking, this won’t make you happy, I would love one that is blue tooth capable, to connect to my phone. This doesn’t have that feature. So look further if you need that. A larger device would not mount on my rig. Without modifications. So this is perfect for my Mobo Shift. The Mount is ingenious and works great, it Mounts perfect to my box square frame. The size is tiny. 2.5 inches, by 3 inches, and approximately a 1/2 inch thick. I love it. It is minus a star, for the fact that it can not be taken off military time, I am not a metric savvy person. This is a minor irritant. The GPS was quick to respond, & I feel it is accurate. My rig will not go over ten MPH, seriously, it’s a cruiser. Slow leisurely rides. However it didn’t waver once in registering my speed. It got my distance just fine. That’s basically all I purchased this for. A simple way to keep track of riding time, & distance. I’m not a serious rider. I’m a senior out for fun & exercise. Maybe the kid in me remembers my first bike with the cool looking speedometer that looked like a tach. I’m not here to write a technical review. I’m here to say this thing connected in minutes, the set up was only minutes & it performed as expected. I live where there are a lot of tall majestic fir trees, the GPS was not affected. Again, I bought this for the sheer fun of it. It functioned perfect on it’s maiden voyage. I feel this might be a fun motivator to get your kids out of the house & riding, instead of vegetating on video games. It comes with the device, two small rubber “0” rings, 2 large “0” rings. A charge cord, the Mount is secure & easy to use. A simple twist at it’s ready to go. No tools required. It changes quickly.Bottom line? If this sounds like something you want, pick one up! I has everything you want for the everyday leisurely rider. It’s sturdy. Small, easy to use. Works great!

Just the right size and functions to be practical
The mini gps works better than I expected. It’s not too small but not too big and keeps the handlebars looking streamlined and uncluttered. The gps functions well. I use it on tree lined roads and in cloudy weather and it keeps its signal. I have not used it yet in wet weather though, but looks to be water resistant and I would not hesitate to use it.The rechargeable battery lasts a good while and easy to recharge with the micro usb port which is covered for moisture.Installation is quick and easy with strong rubber strap and doesn’t move even on rough surfaces and you can simply twist the unit off the mount and put in your pocket if needed.I use it mainly as a tool to motivate me as it keeps track of the time, mileage, speed and can record it. I then know if I’m track or need to push myself harder. The customer service is outstanding! I had an issue and a question that was taken care of very quickly and promptly. I am very happy with the purchase and my friends have purchased there own after seeing mine.
