Replaced a pinion drive gesr almost 50 years old
This fixed the starter problem on my 1976 Johnson 6HP outboard..

Perfect Fit
Perfect fit and probably a 10 minute install. Just loosen the retaining bolts on the recoil mechanism slide it off, move the metal alignment clip to the new part and slide back on and tighten. Make sure to adjust the position by making sure the recoils has full range of motion before tightening everything back down.
