Burger size not given in description
The product size description (4.5" x 4.7" x 4.5" ) is the size of the box, not the press! The interior diameter of the press is 3 and 13/16" and its height is 4". This size works okay for the 3-1/2" to 3-3/4" diameter whole wheat burger buns when using extra lean ground beef. I have not tried full-fat meat patties. The description states it can hold up to six, 1/4 lb burgers. Even if the aerator disk is removed, I don't see how that would be possible. The ground beef I buy usually comes to 1.12lbs and it just barely fits in the cylinder with the aerator in the bottom. The scoop it comes with is probably for making 6 patties to a pound. I wish it had another scoop for making 4 patties to a pound. But as it is, I scoop four piles onto a plate and then evenly distribute the remainder. Then I use the scoop to lift each pile into the patty maker; never touching the meat. The things I like about this product include: a) the plunger's handle comes off and everything stores neatly in the cylinder, b) the top and bottom snap on covers, c) meat releases from the gently sloped scoop easier than normal measuring cups, d) the toughness of the cylinder. As stated by other people the separator disks become transparent in water and translucent when touching meat, I just keep telling myself this must be a safer form of plastic for food contact; otherwise, they would have made colored disks !?

The seller got it to me right away and in perfect condition.
This is nothing against the seller. The seller got it to me right away and in perfect condition...We have used this several times....we put cheese - spinach - broccoli - mushrooms - onions and what ever else we feel like putting in it...(we cook the vegggies first) it holds a lot! BUT VERY hard to get the top patty to connect to the bottom one. Then when putting together, it is hard to get the lid (top presser piece) off and then hard to get the bottom disk off. Once we get the top piece off we turn it over on to a piece of Patty Paper then lift the disk off with a knife. We've also had to spray the whole unite with cooking spray with each burger we made. I also suggest cooking them on an out door grill or baking them in the oven. I've used an indoor electric grill and it takes forever to cook them. I usually end up finishing them off in the oven. We will continue to use this to make stuff burgers but if you're looking to save time.....this is NOT the way LOL Also if you press too hard, the hamburger meat becomes tough.

Best Gadget Since Fasta Pasta
I've cooked for years. Many on a professional level. Not chef mind you, but darn near. I HATE to patty hamburgers! The grease is impossible to get off my hands. Enter this product. If used correctly? It makes perfect hamburgers that are dense enough to survive my several flip- rocker- mash-flatten method of cooking quickly and thoroughly. The design is intuitive and well thought out. I don't have to ever touch the meat until I remove a patty. If I want to keep a few on hand, it stores them. What's not to like? Hot tip: buy "sausage packaged hamburger" you may not be able to see it, but it's the same as what you're paying more for to be able to see it in that apparently priceless plastic tray. I store mine in regular old zip bags by basically squirting them into the bags. Meat never touches my hands. Squeeze the air out by using the meat against itself and making it conform to the bag. Close the bag and flatten the meat by pushing on closed bag with hands. Reduces air in bag, sanitary hands, flat to store in freezer, micro time defrosts better due to compacting it. Oh Heloise, ya ain't got nuthin' on me for tips! Ha ha!

Hamburger press
This is a pretty good little hamburger press for such an affordable price. You are able to make thick or thin burgers with ease.It all comes apart and cleans up fairly easy. The separating discs can get lost in the sink easy. I would think if they had some color tone embedded in them it would be easier. Good little gadget and would recommend it to anyone wanting a handy hamburger press.

Burgers don't keep form
I bought this product for my husband because I was tired of eating very large meatballs for hamburgers. I had high hopes that this product would create flat patties but they still turn into large meatballs. Otherwise, its a good product, I like that we can create several patties early in the day for a bbq later.

Makes great burgers!
I like to grill frozen burgers because they stay together better and this is a great little contraption to make uniform patties that can be frozen. It is easy to use and I just pop the pieces into the dishwasher. I have a big family and I wish it were a bit larger so I could do more at one time before I have to empty it. I would definitely recommend this product.

EZ BP-1 Press N' Grill Burger Press
It's okay I guess, but kinda messy to use, and clean up is a pain. It is nice for making patties for storage. If you make the patties then put them in the fridge, they seem to release better.
