Excellent sculpture medium
Great quality and performance for sculpting my original busts that I then get cast as bronzes. Value is reasonable. Little difficult to soften to pliable state for medium hardness. Upside is that it makes a bit harder final product.

I wouldn't call this medium. It's VERY soft.
Ordered 10lbs for a sculpture workshop I was attending. We were supposed to get the Roma version but being that I planned on making a mold of my sculpt, I could not use clay that contained sulfur. This is supposed to be the sulfur free version of the Roma we were supposed to get so I thought it would be very similar in consistency as it says it would be. At first I really liked it. Worked great for bulking out the armature and getting to the detail part. However, once you do get to the details, it's near impossible to do anything. Although it says medium consistency, it is VERY soft. Sure, it's medium right off the bat, but as soon as you start working with it, within minutes, it turns into the consistency that's like a little stiffer than cream cheese. It's also very messy and kind of sticky because it's so soft. The sculpture I was working on was about a 1:9 or 1:6 scale horse. So a fairly decent size and I could barely sculpt the legs (never mind the face!) But that aside, it works great for mold making and sealing up mold boxes. Ha! It's an expensive clay to use for that but it worked beautifully and was easy to smooth. So that's what the remaining 8#'s are going to be used for--scrap clay--if I don't sell it off first. Overall, I would consider this a soft clay, no where near medium or near the sulfur version it's supposed to mimic. Didn't react with the silicone I used so that's a plus! So the quality itself seems fine.

Superior quality
Dense enough to hold shape yet pliable enough to be easily worked with. Product does coat your hands a little but for the results it can produce I’m not complaining. Takes form with instruments very well and can be left unused for weeks, months, or even years and still be subsequently molded.Tip: Microwave product on low heat for like 20-30 seconds for further ease in handling.

Plastilina Modeling Clay
This is the clay most professionals use if they plan to make a mold from the sculpture and then do a bronze casting. First one makes a wire support attached to a sturdy (wood/other) base. Then attach clay to the armature, adding and carving away until satisfied with the sculpture. This clay stays workable and will not harden if kept at room temp. One can warm up small amounts of the clay by working it in the hands and then attaching it to the work in progress. Fine product.

NOT Sulphur Free!!!
I bought this clay specifically because the listing says it’s sulphur-free. This is extremely important when using with platinum cured silicone to make molds because the silicone won’t cure when it contacts sulphur. Look at the photo I’ve included - the silicone is a gooey sticky mess where it touched the clay. I’m so glad I tested this first before wasting my time with it!

LOVE it!
I LOVE this clay so much! It's perfect for silicone mold making and is easy to work with when sculpting. My only complaint is that it wont hold it's shape long enough to make a mold on it's own unless it's rather thick. But the use of bases and armatures help with that.

Great product and I will buy again.
Pros: Sulphur free so it doesn't contaminate silicone rubber. Easy to mold into whatever shape you want and it holds the shape.Cons: Sticks to EVERYTHING, I had to really dig it out of small spaces.Other: I knew about the cons before and I don't think there is product that does what I need it to do and be soft enough for the application I need. It does what I need it to do and that's enough for me. I only wish it wasn't so sticky.
