Good, maybe great, but not even a small chance it has 50L capacity.
UPDATE 180521, upfront.I said I'd update if it failed to perform and, less than two years after purchase, it has.It is in shreds. The only real weight has been two gallon jugs of bottled 'spring' water and a bag or two of general groceries. It is coming apart in places where there was not even any (apparent) stress. It is actually shredding at seams.I got less than two years of usage; expected at least five. IMO, Eaglewill is not a brand to buy. I'm looking for another ...I wish I had the backpack from college. It handled 40# or more every day for years and never failed me. This turned-out to be just more made in china junk./update.Seller did a fine job getting the product to me in new/undamaged condition. The waterproof cover was in the pouch as promised(It is actually bright yellow, not fluorescent green as in product pic, thank Goodness.). All zippers work AOK ... even the whistle works.I already have a real (rigid frame) backpack for hiking/camping so this Eaglewill 50L Universal Outdoor Backpack (Black/gray) is mostly for in-town use to carry groceries and other items over a 2-3 mile 'hike' home 2-3 times/week.Since I just got it today and have not worn it much itsa bit premature to comment on quality. However, it appears to be quite a good quality backpack, a real backpack -not a bag with shoulder straps. They DOUBLE STITCH at all the major stress points and stitching looks quite good - even and tight but not too tight. The major stress points are reinforced so the stress is distributed and makes me think it can handle 40 or 50#, which it should as a backpack, and not fall/rip apart. The upper(& only) shoulder strap adjustments are not double stitched or reinforced at either stress point but I do not think that is a major stress point.I wore it without a shirt with ~10# in it, and it is comfortable, as much as any backpack can be. However I am 6' & 200+ lbs and the way the straps positioned across the shoulders I am pretty sure chafing would occur on a really long haul. Time will tell ...As others might have mentioned, the waist/hip strap is not around, or even near, the hips or belt-waist. ...it's above the belly button. It feels a bit odd but ithink it is OK.The back is not rigid but it is stiff and padded with some material that faces the inside of the main compartment to protect items in the pouch, like a laptop. So why 4 and not 5 stars? One reason:Dimensions from the pic are 23 x 14.5 x 8.7" = 2901.5 cu.in. = 47.5 L, not 50 L. Those are exterior dimensions of a full bag. I knew that and expected some smaller capacity but this is even smaller than expected. The actual dimensions of the main storage compartment is 6.5" in depth at bottom, seam to seam. The width at the bottom varies from 9.5 to 12" - it is not rectangular( it is trapezoidal ). Of course the bag/compartment narrows as the height increases above the inner (laptop) pouch. So again, the compartment is basically a trapezoidal prism shape.Since I'm not teaching math here, I'll just state that the volume of the main compartment is approximately 23 L.When it's full the only other *usable* pouches are the 2 mesh on the sides, the 2 on the hip/waist pads and the outer pouch(*good luck using it when the main compartment is full).I'll be generous and say one can stuff another 12L of 'stuff' into them. That means the bag has, at best, a 35 L capacity. That's not what I wanted or expected. ...OR WHAT IS ADVERTISED.IF that's big enuf for you, then considering that it has (limited) LIFETIME WARRANTY, you probably cannot go wrong with this Eaglewill 50L Universal Outdoor Backpack at it's current price(36-bucks).I'm keeping mine cuz I am sick and tired of looking and am certain there is no better BP at this size and price ANYWHERE. It will work to get food and water/juices from local store and will help getting groceries home from across town tho' it will not carry them all. ...If it fails to perform, I'll update.

Perfect for day hikes
perfect for day hikes. I'm a petite girl and it fits me well. my friend who is a slender 6ft guy also carried it and gave it a thumbs up. the pack reminds me of the tardis with its deceptively small size. we fit two 1-liter bottles, lots of snacks, maps, tissue (dang allergies), lip balm, a headlamp, two phones, and keys and could have added more. I didn't need to use the helmet net, but it would have been handy for a jacket. I dig the pack so much I've started carrying it around to work to transport snacks. looks exactly like it does in the picture. the shoulder straps are a bit stiff but I'm hoping that should lessen with wear.

Not a backpack to fully depend on....
I ordered this backpack to use during my latest travels from the US to the UK. I wanted a carry on for my flight, but I also wanted to be hands free walking through airports. When it arrived, I was a little surprised that it wasn't bigger. It is labeled as a 50L backpack, but doesn't look it when you see it. The size ended being okay, and it got me through the airports hands-free, as I wanted, just fine. However, when I arrived at my destination and was unpacking, I noticed where the strap meets the top, by the shoulder, was tearing quite a bit. Maybe it would've gotten me even further than the UK, but then again, maybe it wouldn't have. I definitely wouldn't risk it on a hiking trip or backpacking through Europe, and I definitely would call it "most durable" as the title suggests.

Good value
If you're a big boy, the belly strap isn't going to fit :-) I get 40"Mine arrived with a defective buckle which I think I'll just fix rather than return/swap, as I probably have one lying around, but that's why it gets only 4 stars.Just got it so I can't speak to durability but my bladder fit, and it seems sturdy enough, especially at the price.

great quality, not actual size
Materials: zippers metal, nylon strong, many good strings, attachments, and straps.Measurements: inside bottom to top only 19".Very good backpack that I would've love to use. I ordered this to conceal carry an ar15 with 16" upper. Was planning on carrying separated upper and lower. My upper measures 24". This backpack advertised on description as 23" vertical. 24" upper woulve fit nicely if the upper is put in diagonally. Used a 12" ruler to measure the inside and only came up 19-20". It is too small for my needs. Gave it to a friend and he loves it.

AMAZING back pack
AMAZING back pack! I used this to tote beach towels/lotion/supplies for my family of 3! Very comfortable and has tons of storage for the odds and ends that you will need for a child/children. Met all my expectations! I only wish i would have gotten one size bigger in anticipation of another kiddo... but this was an awesome product!!!
