Useless
I bought two sets of these for my wife and I to use in France on our 26th anniversary trip. I believed the reviews saying they were easy to use, the translation software worked real-time and that the app was user friendly. These are just cheap earbuds that you pair with your phone. The app that you download for your phone does NOT perform as promised. There are minimal instructions and no support for the device or app. Translation is slow, incomplete and wildly inaccurate. These worthless earbuds created problems and added unnecessary stress to our trip. I am returning them and hoping I can get my money back.

Not bad for the price, but there are some annoyances
They aren't the worst for the price. They are comfortable. I've only had them for 24 hours but the buds and case do hold charge so far, the sound quality is very clear and once you set it up through the app it is very easy to set up your menu and selections. However, my biggest complaint is that the selection for simultaneous translation doesn't just pick up what you are listening for. It picks up your speech as well. Meaning if you are translating Spanish and you have the earbuds in your ear, if you are talking in English, the earbuds pick up your voice and repeat whatever you say in your earbud. Which delays the translation of the Spanish language. If that makes sense. Its kind of annoying. Another thing that I wished these did was auto detect the language you are trying to translate. You watch the videos and see the tik toks and they make it seem you go into a Spanish bodega wearing them and it immediately starts translating. And thats not quite the case. You have to select the language you want to translate ahead of time. And India has like 144 languages and unless you know the difference between all the asian languages you might not be translating what you want. What I do like is that as long as you don't need premium translation services you don't need the membership. You have unlimited ear bud translations. However, if you need to translate documents regularly, you get 50 document translations per day. Which might be enough for your needs. But if you need more than that, the memembership for more isn't that bad I don't think.

translator does not work
I'm coming back to revise my review of these on the ear buds. I have been using them daily for six weeks now. I originally gave it a poor review based on my initial experience. In retrospect, the issue is with the App not the earbuds. In fact, they work great. I can use them to listen to audio books and they even sound good for phone calls. Ordinarily, if I wanted to be on a call, I could have to use my Bose set. No other earbuds seem to work well for a phone call. But these do. They are very light and comfortable to wear. You will forget you have them on. And I can wear them for hours! I lost one twice, but recovered it. After laying in the dirt by the curb all day (and I think it got run over cuz its a little beat up), I found it right where I had gotten out of my car. And it still works ! Yup, this was a great purchase. The translator part is still not accurate, but I just don't use it. bought 9/1 and revised 10/12 If you just need another pair of earbuds, these are fine. But if you wanted the translator capability, then don't buy these. The Translation is a complete comedy show. Not even remotely close to what is really being said. I tested it on Japanese, Korean and Spanish. NONE were right- but if you want to be entertained by the ridiculous nonsense it comes up with, then go ahead and buy them. I'm still considering returning them, because I don't need another pair of earbuds, i need a translator that works.

DO NOT PURCHASE.
If there was a negative review I would place it there. DO NOT purchase this item. The activation code was not included, trying to connect the item does not work and it does not stay on your ear correctly. This product is not value for the money you spend. Do not waste your money.

Must Use Force Paid App in Order for It to Work
The translator part works fine. My issue is that you have to download the app in order for the headphones to work properly. And it will not let you download the headphones until you enter in credit card information, it states that it won’t charge you, but it did charge me $35 without my permission and I’m still pretty salty about that. Unexpected and false advertisement of a charge put a damper on the enjoyment of that first exploration of all of the features. Also, you’re not able to utilize the headphones without using the app that binds it. So essentially, you cannot use it in real time because it records every conversation and then gives you the opportunity to hear it in your chosen language. I was looking for a device that I could use in real time while I am walking about my daily life. I thought this device would be more of a incognito situation that was hidden underneath my hair on my ears, translating the world as I walk about. I searched and searched. I was not able to pair the device with any third-party translator app such as Google translator or Microsoft translator. Maybe you’ll have better luck or a different experience, but I was left feeling frustrated and taken advantage of.

Translates for the most part, very formal
These are fairly decent translating headphones. Depending on how often you use these would depend on whether you need to sign up for a subscription/membership as the plan that comes with the headphones have limited hours each month on how much they will actually translate for. When I bought the headphones, the description didn’t say anything about needing to purchase a membership/subscription in order to get full use out of the headphones which I found little bit deceiving. Overall they work great, great sound quality when listening to music and when making phone calls. I like the wide range of languages to choose from for translation but doesn’t have some languages I need to communicate with some of my neighbors. In regards to accuracy of translation, it’s very minimal and formal type of translating. Most slang terms those speaking another language are not able to be translated by these headphones I noticed.
