Machinery Matters: John Henry on Packaging, Machinery, Troubleshooting

This book is absolutely the very best book to reference when wanting to learn more about your packaging line and how to improve it. I recommend it to any packaging professional or just as a general read (there are some good puns in there). John Henry gets straight to the point in every chapter and it is an easy and understandable read. This book definitely gets a 10 out of 5.

My background is not in mechanical equipment yet I spend time in the packaging area of our manufacturing facility. With my lack of packaging experience, I found this book to be one of the most useful, practical books I've read in a long time. The articles helped me understand many of the downtime issues I observe daily. We package liquids, powders and granules in boxes, bags and jugs and the book offered tips on all. I am recommending this book to my colleagues.

Very informative. I put it on my desk at work for my fellow workers to use as a guideline for different scenarios they encounter prior to calling me with a lead.

Packaging Machinery was one of the first courses I took at Clemson University for my graduate degree.In this class we used this book as a primary resource, and it was great! Coming from a chemistry background, John made this book very easy to follow yet very detailed and technical! I would recommend this book to anyone of all skill levels! Now I am in the packaging field and still use this book as a reference!

Just finished reading book; I'm not a packaging expert, but after reading this book I feel like one. I have seen the author of this book giving conferences and I have really learned and enjoyed them. I can't wait to get the new packaging machinery handbook, I know it will be even better than this one I just read.

Excellent practical oriented content...very few books on this subject and this is one of the best among them.
