Perfect suitcase
I’ve had the 27” for a few years now, I’ve used in it in almost all of my trips, It’s my favorite piece of luggage, roomy but not overwhelmedly large, it’s sturdy, wheels slide perfectly, it’s good looking and the built in lock works every time, I’m buying a second one same size, I like it so much!!

Great Luggage!
Been using this for years. I prefer heard-side luggage, and especially appreciate the expandability here. I have the carryon & medium checked bag, planning on the large checked bag for a big trip. Don’t use the power port in the carry-on as much as I’d expected. PROs Very rugged and sturdy. Wheels very smooth and strong. Glides like butter through airports & ship gangways. Packs and organizes well. Sturdy zippers pulls easily lock in the tsa hardware, keeping them from snagging or loosening. Easy id on the carousel (GOLD!) CONs No outside pockets for electronics. Surface not good for travel stickers. 🙁

Worth the price tag!!
After buying 2 other suitcases from popular brands and returning them, I was down to Swissgear and samsonite. I went to target and tested out these 2 brands and then bought Swissgear from Amazon. I am very happy with my purchase. Great size, it expands, it has a lock system, it has a charger set up (power bank not included), rolls in 360degrees and is HARDY. Get it! Cough up the $$$ and get it!!!

Lacks all basic features. Not durable.
I own a few other pieces of this brand and I’ve enjoyed their reliability and functionality. This suitcase, however, is not a good product as it lacks basic yet critical features in my opinion. First, no side handle. Airlines like to place their bag tags on the side. The absence of this handle is evident when trying to load and unload from an Uber as an example. Next, no dry bag/water proof bag built to the inside dividers. They advertise a USB connection to store a battery yet the pocket for the battery is tiny. The inside of the bag is camouflage which is a preference thing. I’m not crazy about that. That’s not a functionality failure. The telescopic handle was already malfunctioning after week two of a trip across Europe. On the plus side, the wheels are functional and smooth. In summary, this bag is very small, lacks basic features, lacks durability (cheap handle) and isn’t meant for anything other than an over night on a road trip in a car. Save your money and shop for a different carry on.

Good case, but arrived dirty and used
I have both the carry-on version and the 24" checked version. After a lifetime of mis-matched luggage it was time to have a nice set! I like that these have the 8 wheels instead of just the 4 for durability. I like the built in TSA lock. I also like the interior storage that comes built-in with these cases; which is helpful if you're moving from location to location frequently during a vacation. I expect that the carry-on version will last a very long time, but I'm not sure about the checked one. There is no grab handle for the base and the case itself isn't light. You won't want to overload the 24"+ sizes or it's going to get damaged. My main complaint is that the case arrived filthy from sitting in a dirty warehouse. It also arrived slightly "used" from someone who chose to return it. People, if you are going to return an item, put it back the way you received it. Someone else is likely going to get your "used" item in the condition you returned it. Failure to do so means that the karma gods are going to make the wheels fall off you luggage from henceforth.

Broken zipper on first use—Amazon, are you listening?
I gave my review 4 stars so more people would read what has really happened to a number of buyers of this Swiss Gear suitcase. I bought this suitcase for a Christmas gift. Upon first use (after the return window closed) the zipper broke & the suitcase fell open (& everything fell out) right in the middle of the airport. The breakage is obscured inside by the strip of fabric that is part of the interior lining. This is a nearly $200 suitcase that was used once & then it broke. Wouldn’t a responsible manufacturer reach out to the 20 plus people who wrote the very same review? Wouldn’t Amazon notice the negative reviews because of the zipper issue, or Swiss Gear respond by telling us how to fix it, or even mention a warranty that goes beyond the 1-1 1/2 months return window?
