Fantastic yarn
So happy to buy this yarn again for a little less price, very very very love this natural wool quality, super worm and soft and durable. It is really good yarn for the very good price. And some important- is this brand makes A natural colors, which is absolutely useful in hunting/camping gear sweaters.

REAL WOOL and GOOD QUALITY YARN
I purchased two brown and two natural yarns. The natural color is not white. It is yellow. So, keep it in mind when purchase it. In my opinion, it is good quality yarn. Each roll has great length. One roll was enough to knit half of sweater for myself. I small person and wear a small size cloth. It was pleasant to work with this product. The yarn is not extremely soft but it is very warm. I tested this sweater at -17° F. It feels warm and nice! I spend two and half rolls for my sweater (see pics). I wish the manufacture provides more color. However, I will purchase more brown color for my next knitting project.

Good wool. Good value. Has substance. Not soft enough for most people’s ‘neck test’. Works for me.
Great for classic Aran cable work and textures. . Consistency, quality and value bring Real Wool possibilities to anyone, you can feel and smell lanolin, which I love. Good for sweaters worn over a shirt, blankets, outerwear, and for me… next to skin works! It will felt. Not super wash treated. Hand wash and block. Tepid water in a sink, tub, tote, a bit of shampoo and conditioner and a soak and rinse without stretching or agitating. Lay out on layered towels, roll up. Walk on it to squeeze out water. Lay out on dry towels and shape it how it should be shaped. Let dry. YouTube it. Easier than it sounds. Very worthwhile. But don’t expect a giftee to succeed in that. This is a good “ToMeForMefromMe” present as my mother says. Yummy wool. Thank you Lion. Probably a good learning yarn. Elastic and comes light colored for easy visibility needed to learn. And economical.

Perfect and a lot of yarn.
I love this yarn. I made makeup bags for all my friends this year and used this for a few bags. I plan on getting a LOT of this yarn and color specifically to knit a blanket this year. Highly recommend and it is 100% wool so just be aware it won’t be as soft as acrylics.

This yarn works well for knitting socks
I love this yarn! So far I’ve used this brand and color for making two pairs of socks. They seem to get softer each time I wash them. They are wool, so have to be washed by hand. I believe some of the other color options are only partial wool, so read the description carefully. I left a pair on the floor for about a week because I hadn’t had time to wash them. Unfortunately moths ate holes in them. Instead of throwing them away I learned to darn. Now I am wearing them again! Worth the money.

Decent yarn, some issues.
Good quality, beautiful color. A slight chemical smell but it will probably go after a first washing. Yarn is soft but sometimes you can find a very hard hair that could be prickly. I wouldn’t recommend it for knitting any baby clothes. Also this yarn might be hard for beginners.

Great yarn, odd pricing.
I love working with this yarn. I have only used the 100% solid colors though because reviews state that all but one of the tweeds ( maple, I believe -which I can't find) have bits of hard polyester/nylon in them. Although not as tightly would as I like yarn to be, I have not had any colors I have used split at all. The yarn not only works up well, it's actually pretty soft for a 100% wool yarn, and it also felts great as well as takes dye very well. Because it is 100% wool however, I always take any 100% natural animal fiber yarn and place it the warming drawer of my oven and bring it to 130 for an hour or so and then store them in plastic bags after. The heat will ensure there are no moths, larvae or eggs, etc. in them but just to be safe I still bag them after. The only downside to this yarn I can say is the cost here on Amazon. These skeins (solid or tweed) at most run 9.99 just about everywhere else, and occasionally even less when on sale. I purchased these skeins here when they were at 10.00, but now coming back and seeing these and the other Fishermen's yarn costing between 13-18+ dollars per skein is more than I am willing to spend on them. I am not sure why the price got hiked to the point of even nearly doubled? If they drop to 10.00 again I would buy them here, but until then I will buy them elsewhere when needed.

Love it for it's basic usage and warmth.
Not the best for socks but I love the feel on my feet in the cold pacific NW so I use it. I figure people have been using wool like this for hundreds of years and it serves the purpose which is to keep feet warm even if wet. It tends to felt up and large amount of fuzz after a short while under the pad of the foot and although I love 100% wool socks, I am transitioning over to actual sock yarn due to the felting issue for my light weight summer socks. But I figure if no one can see my fuzzy socks (till I sit down) for 3 seasons of the year up here, LOL!. Knits up fast, with 40 stitches and #3 needle for a fairly dense sock. Good yarn to use for first time sock makers cause it is economical, and knits fast and doesn't tend to "grow" or slip while working like some sock yarns do and it is easy on the hands cause it has natural lanolin in it. I do not notice socks smelling sweaty with the hand washing needed and (NO softener). They just smell like wet wool does when it's wet. DUH! Don't judge me! I smell socks just to make sure they are clean.

Perfect - just as adverised. Feels like real wool yarn, bit scratchy / toothy. Perfect after blocked.

Helpful notes to the interested: Careful when washing, tends to felt if over handled or washed in anything but COLD water. However, it you WANT felt, this would be a decent yarn to use, I would imagine. Love this yarn. I have the Oatmeal which is like a linen colour, the original stock (90% wool from India) Birch Tweed (before the redux Birch Tweed (75% wool) which I do not recommend because it has tiny plastic strands in the wool, not good). Last and most recent, this OAK TWEED, which is more cream than brown when it knits up. Very tweed looking, VERY reminiscent of a birch forest. Wool still has that woolly scent of lanolin to it and it is soft (not coarse) to the touch-easily worn next to skin or over thin cotton shirt. COZY, COZY, C O Z Y ! Knit with TWO strands of the OAK TWEED (yep, two balls at the same time) to get a plush and super cozy knitwear garment or item.
