I purchased this as a replacement for the BLACK+DECKER DCM18 Brew 'n Go Personal Coffeemaker with Travel Mug, which is no longer available. I’m really impressed! It brews a perfect cup of coffee every time, and the price is unbeatable. I removed the filter basket and use a #2 recycled cone filter, which filters the coffee faster than the white ones. One person mentioned that the first cup had a plastic taste, but I fixed this by brewing a mixture of 1/2 cup vinegar and 1/2 cup water, followed by brewing plain water two more times. I'm very satisfied with this coffee maker; it takes up less space than the Black+Decker.This coffee maker is designed for convenience and efficiency, making it ideal for those who enjoy a quick cup of coffee without the hassle of larger machines. Its compact size allows it to fit easily in small kitchens, dorm rooms, or even offices. We bought this coffee maker to take with us when we visit our kids and grandkids. My husband likes to get up really early and have a cup all by himself before everyone else gets up. It makes two smaller mugs of coffee and keeps one warm in the thermal mug. We have our full-size coffee maker at home, but this quiet, quick little coffee pot is not only cute, but also delivers a nice cup of coffee. We did follow directions to make two water run-throughs before we used it, and this seemed to work on the smell others reported. We also used trimmed paper coffee filters to keep things easy, and we feel this makes a better cup of coffee and lets us dump the grounds more efficiently. This coffee pot worked well for us in our travels. We also like the green color. We do wish it had a travel bag.

Trying to reduce my coffee consumption so I got this to make one large cup at a time instead my old maker that made two cups at a time. It's a good maker and I'm not disappointed.Cons: it isn't as efficient as my old (larger) maker using 3-4T of grounds when the old one made twice the coffee from 4T of grounds, with the lid on the cup while brewing it will overflow the lid because coffee brews faster than it flows through the lid (I brew into the cup without the lid on to fix this), and it does not keep the coffee in the cup warm for long (there's no hot plate.)Pros: makes a great cup of coffee, reusable filter is easy to clean, cup is good, and maker is very small so it doesn't use a lot of counter space.

This small, yet fast coffee machine is awesome. Mug holds the right amount for me in the morning. Taste is great and hot. It’s so fast and quiet.

Just got my mini coffee maker and it works great. The coffee is hot. Easy to operate and clean. It makes the perfect amount for a single person. I use my thermal travel cup as a coffee carafe and pour from there.

Pros: the silver , grey & white is a great color combination. I like the neutral colors. It is much easier to see how much water there is and any potential issues with this color combination. I like the on button being on the side and no additional buttons. I like the simplicity of this coffee makerCons: I should have read the other reviews about the button not working correctly. I had the same issue. I was able to turn the button on once while cleaning the machine prior to use. The second time cleaning the machine the on button would not work at all. Prior to the second cleaning I made sure that machine was cooled down. Unplugged it and waited at least 10 minutes. Same issue the machine would not turn on, even after following all the instructions. The machine is defective so I sent it back.The plastic is a not that that thick. Unfortunately I have noticed this awful quality with at least 2 similar 1 cup coffee makers I have purchased under $30. It's not just this brand. Quality in many brands is not as good as it used to be.Initially I was going to take a chance and order another 1 cup coffee maker in the exact same color combination in hopes the on button was just a rare defect. However I decided not to instead I purchased a 1 cup coffee maker that was over $40. It's not as simple and has a few glitches yet the water is hotter and it's a better quality coffee maker.I m hoping that the on button switch on this moddle of coffee maker could be upgraded to something better that actually works. A new and improved switch. If a new and improved model comes out I d take a chance and purchase this coffee maker again. I did like almost everything about it. Except the switch.

This is perfect for one cup! Better flavor and strength than using a pod. Easy cleanup!2 weeks in and still makes good coffee however the cup that comes along has water between the liner and the metal so I threw that out. Very disappointing. Had to change my review

Bought for my RV. Love the small size and works better then some Keurig brands, very easy cleanup with the filter and filter holder!
