For some reason, I’ve had trouble finding a black, 1.0 mm pen that I really liked. Sone skip a lot, others were just not that great. These pens are PERFECT!!!!!

19 cents per pen... nineteen cents! 19 cents for 1-2 weeks of vigorous writing! These pens far exceeded my expectations - unlike pens of similar style, these will release a steady stream of thin ink that dries within 5 seconds. Once the ink has dried, you should have no problems with smearing or staining (unless the surface on which you are writing happens to get wet). I have noticed no problems with this pen's ink bleeding through to other pages. They do not behave like similary priced "cheap generic pens" in any way. If you asked someone to participate in a blind study of pens, I am sure that these Paper Mate pens would come out on top. After you have finished writing, and decide to put the caps back on, they actually stay in place - NO MORE LOSING MY PEN CAPS! A box of 12 of these pens will certainly last you quite some time. As long as you put the pen caps back on after you are done writing, the pen ink will not harden and clog the tip. If you do happen to forget to put the cap back on, a quick tip to make the ink flow again is to heat up the pen tip with a lighter for about 2 seconds (just try not the melt the plastic while you're at it). I would recommend this product to anyone who enjoys buying outstanding merchandise for rock-bottom prices. Paper Mate, please do us all a favor and DON'T CHANGE A SINGLE THING! The only way these pens could possibly be improved is if they were handed out for free, but with a price like this, that is pretty much already the case.

This was a perfect set of basic pens for my 7th Grader. There is so much LESS required in terms of pencils and penmanship for modern children who are typing and printing out their school work. No need for expensive pens and these are thin, easy for smaller hands, and are the universally accepted Black Ink for all school projects. They write smoothly and are a medium point, so they're perfect for younger students who are just getting used to writing and doing work in permanent ink. These are extremely budget-friendly and perform as well as some of the pens that have fancier shells, but the same "insides". I love a good pen. But you really don't need a fancy pen for most things and especially for older kids in school these days. They just need something that's standard, easy to write with, and acceptable color. These pens are it. No cons, just grab a set for your students or office and you've covered the bases!

Even though it took awhile to ship, the product is great for writing. Smooth, comfortable, and no leaks.

I actually discovered this pen when I was in the hospital postpartum. The nurse brought it in for me to use and I LOVED it so much that I took it home with me, haha. I figured I paid enough in hospital fees to take a pen! Anyway, I just love how smooth it writes and how easy it is to hold (slightly chunky). It's nothing like any other ballpoint pen I have used. When I came to order it, I saw reviews about how people were disappointed at the changes... well I don't know what changed, but I am in love with it!**UPDATE** I just came back to order these again and now I see the wrong picture for the pen. It's not the stick pen, but the chunky one. If you're here for the stick pen, sorry, but I LOVE this new version.
