Exo Terra Sun-Glo Daylight Halogen Lamp, 150-Watt

I recently upgraded my bearded dragons tank to a 4x2x2 and needed a stronger light, this 150 watt is perfect maybe a little too hot for my enclosure but I have the dimmable lamp for that purpose.

Sadly this brand has gone down hill for us. We've used these bulbs for some time, but lately I'm changing them at least weekly (last one lasted less than two days). I even bought a new housing, but same results.

I have a 120 gallon tank and it’s hard to find a bulb strong enough to heat up the bottom to the correct temperature, esp in the winter. I was skeptical of this bulb because of its size but according to the chart on the box it would provide the heat I need so I decided to give it a try. I’m happy to say that it’s exactly what I need and provides the perfect amount of heat. I would caution customers with smaller tanks. This bulb produces a lot of heat and typical sized tanks will probably get temps over 100 degrees at the bottom of the tank with the bulb on a screen top.

Buy a bulb from someone else! These do not last long at all. I had one and it burned out in about a day, sent it back and got another one that last a little longer but not the full bulb life. Waste of money!

Great heat and light source for my bearded dragon but only lasted 3 months.

I bought this for my Savannah monitor and it seems like most of the light and heat are concentrated the most right in the center. Almost like filtering light through a magnifying glass. I would recommend caution if buying for smaller reptiles or ones with softer scales/skin. They might end up being burned by it.

I bought two of the bulbs and the first bulb blew out within 12 hours. The second bulb, after I put it in, it looked like my lizard was panting. I put my hand under the bulb about 5 inches away from the bulb, and it felt like I was putting my hand in a burning flame it was so hot. I took it out and put in a household lightbulb, which keeps her at perfect temperature.

These bulbs are priced right and are good quality. Not much else to say really, if you need one for one of your little cold blooded friends then get 2 instead and save your self from reordering so soon

Das Leuchtmittel kam defekt an. Das Glas war zersprungen. Umtausch war sofort möglich, nach dem Zusenden von Fotos des defekten Leuchtmittels. Das zweite Leuchtmittel hielt leider nicht lange, da riss leider der Glühfaden. Bei Nachfrage auf Garantieanspruch sollte auf eigene Kosten zum Prüfen auf Anspruch das Leuchtmittel zurück gesendet werden. Darauf habe ich verzichtet, da ich nicht bereit war Rücksendekosten zu tragen und dann mit großer Wahrscheinlichkeit mein Geld nicht zurück zu erhalten. Wollte nicht noch mehr Geld und Zeit investieren und habe mir ein anderes Leuchtmittel gekauft. Erster Umtausch war problemlos, daher 2 Sterne. Das Leuchtmittel ist allerdings leider nicht sehr langlebig.

Know what? I've tried all sorts of manufacturers, we have 17 reptiles and care for them and adore them. This brand of anything is quality, reliable, and value for money. My Panther Chameleon was basking and content. Viv was humid and all is well.

The first one lasted about 3 weeks, The spring inside the bulb somehow came lose. The next one lasted about 2 months. It just didnt turn on all a sudden. It didnt even look burnt out. The third one was on for about 40 seconds and the glass exploded. Light did not burn out and still turned on ...but the glass just POPPED! the 4th one so far is seems fine. only been 2 days. I dont know if I will try these again or not

I cannot believe the state of the box my bulb arrived in. It was packaged in a soft brown envelope only. Going to have to buy a new bulb from somewhere else as surprise surprise it isn't working. Will not be purchasing this item again.
