I bought this device as it had good rating on Amazon. Later I bought the Xiaomi Air purifier 2 for another room and after using both for about 3 months here are Top 5 reasons why you SHOULD NOT buy this. 1. Its Expensive - The obvious reason is that purifier costs 3x the Xiaomi's device ( Rs 9999 ) with no clear benefit in performance and features. Even the maintenance cost is 3x. The total cost of replacing Honeywell's filter is Rs 7500 whereas Xiaomi's filter set costs Rs 2500 for a similar lifetime and same filter layers ( dust, hepa, activated carbon ) 2. No App control - This model has no app control. For the app control you need to shell out another Rs 10,000. ( With that money you can buy another Xiaomi purifier . What was honeywell thinking while pricing this? ) The Xiaomi comes with app control. It shows real time pollution, fan speed control, filter life is left, parental control and much more. 3. Its Slower - I installed both devices on consecutive nights and to reach to clean levels of air the Honeywell purifier took about 3x more time. Xiaomi's Turbo mode cleans much faster than Honeywell's fastest mode. Though in turbo mode it was noisier but who cares, just switch on the turbo mode 15 min before you go to sleep. 4. Needs Assembly - This device needs assembly and as parts come separately. It can get confusing as you need to insert the 3 filters in a slot and you have to read a manual to understand how the filters need to be positioned. The Xiaomi Purifier just needs a cable to be attached and its ready for use. 5. Its Heavier - The Honeywell is bigger in size and twice as heavy ( 9.5 kg ) . Xiaomi's air purifier is lighter ( 4.6 kg ). So if you plan to move it around frequently it just gets a bit irritating. I regret buying this. Don't be fooled by its 4 star rating.

It's doing good, installed in a room

Product is very nice. Silent in working. Cleans air of the room quickly.

I purchased this product several years ago and have been using it intermittently. Recently it stopped working. It was not easy trying to reach customer support to log a ticket. Finally a ticket was logged which said said a technician would arrive at my door within 48 hours. Its been a week and nobody has arrived. And no updates from the company on status of the ticket. I don't think I will every be buying another Honeywell product.

This amazing product from Honeywell is a gift and a blessing indeed in the world that we live in. The amount of pollution in the air, suspended particles, toxic gases you name it and it's all there. The air we breathe is not of that desired quality our forefathers once breathed and things are actually getting worse. To cut the long story short i invested in the air purifier to improve my health and life style and i don't regret buying this one bit! This unit took about 8 hours to go from red to blue and i could make out the difference in the air quality in my bedroom. A must have for all people with chronic obstructive airway disease and asthma. I simply love it! Edit My review after 2 weeks of using the Honeywell air purifier - it now takes just 15-20 minutes for my room air quality to go from orange to blue! My room measures 15' X 25' with a 12' ceiling.

Product keep turning off on its own. Don't know if that is a feature or a flaw. Will update ratings if I get an answer to this. The manual doesn't mention anything about it. Also noisy, like a blower running constantly. Review indicated that it's a very silent unit. I read 7 db somewhere. The manual indicates 23db and that is correct. It's noticeably noisy even at the slowest fan level. Not a problem for me but would have been nice to know that beforehand. Will update the review and ratings once I get an answer for the first point. Update - I think the turning off might be due to when the power goes out. The unit does not come back on automatically once the power comes back. If that's the case then that is a shortcoming. Given how frequent power cuts are, the purifier is likely to turn off repeatedly during the day and night. Might want to consider a different make or model which has memory and comes back on after the power is restored.

Liked the product but very pricey for what it actually contains
