Yes it can be cut to fit. A pair of scissors or a utility knife / blade.

Q: If the screen is 50 feet, but I only need 40 feet to cover my fence, how do you make it the size you need?

You should be able to overlap the middle to shorten it. I haven't measured the distance between eyelets. You'll need the ends for sure to secure it
