The underside has a sharp, unbuffed metal rod on which the lid swingsWhile taking off the lid to remove garbage bag, it cut my fingers deep and caused injury

defective lid in 3 days of use
Not what I had expected. The swinging lid no longer works as it is supposed to :-(

Trash Can for Kitchen
The body is solid and made of shining steel. Size is perfect for a small kitchen. The cover is good to hide the kitchen trash.
