Packed full of Scripture
While this book is short, it is packed full of Scripture. Great resource on recognizing and overcoming bitterness. This is a book I will read over and over again as a refresher and help in counseling others.

Great teaching on this sin we tend to 'accept'. A must read booklet!
This is a great booklet that confronts us to deal with bitterness in our lives. After a divorce last year (with no biblical grounds by my ex-wife), this became a common thing that I tried to deal in my life. This book sent me to my knees because the biblical truth is so glaring that I cannot, but deal with it head on! Even with just a few words, Dr. Priolo clarifies, biblically, what is bitterness and how to deal with it according to the Word of God. This is an essential booklet for Christians to read.

AS GOOD AS IT GETS
I'm a pastor. I have read this resource once a year for the past few years because I find it very helpful. I give this resource to friends and members of my congregation all the time. The book is short enough that people aren't intimidated by its size. It packs such a heavy punch that most people that I give it to go on to suggest it to other friends. Covering broad themes like bitterness, forgiveness, anger, and love, it applies to many kinds of situations. A great illustration of the profound impact the simple message of the Gospel can have in helping one face or respond to all kinds of trials that we experience in this world. Please sell this in electronic form or on Kindle so that I can get it into the hands of other people/counselees without having to wait for a delivery!!!!

Short, biblically saturated answers for dealing with bitterness
For how brief this little pamphlet is, it really unpacks quite a breathe of biblical data on bitterness and forgiveness. Priolo is saturated in the gospel and his biblical wisdom is refreshing. If you find yourself struggling with bitterness (and we all do!), this book will point you to Christ and the Gospel as the only hope to overcome the root of bitterness in your life. The discussion on Mt. 18 is worth the price of the book alone. If you are a believer and struggling with forgiveness, consider the massive debt you owed God. You deserved hell and you are headed to heaven. You were a child of wrath and now you are a child of God. You have been forgiven much. Lay down your bitterness and run to the cross! The cross is where you will receive liberation from the pit of unforgiveness. Now consider the small transgression you are withholding forgiveness from another over. Only the gospel shatters our pride and heals our heart from the painful damage bitterness can do. Read this book to get a short, biblically saturated perspective on this perennial struggle we all know.

Short and simplistic.
This is more of a booklet than a book. May hep someone but it seems to be to simplistic to provide help with long-term bitterness.

It was the best decision I could have made
Four starts only because you wouldn't take me seriously if I had five. But, it deserves five! This book was a last minute decision; I bought it as I was checking out with another book from this author. It was the best decision I could have made.I have been struggling for the last few years with anger, depression, and negativity. I had just been coming to realize I was bitter and low and behold I saw this book.It is a small book you could read in no time, but don't! The last thing you want to do is only read this book, it is meant to contemplate as well.If you are ready to take the burden of bitterness from around your neck, I would suggest investing in this book!

Highly rated
This is the 3rd of this series of books which I have read because they cover those difficult sin areas of your life that no-one really wants to admit they have. The booklet is very down to earth and easy to read but does not necessarily make easy reading. The author defines what bitterness is from a biblical perspective and gives the biblical remedy for it. He stresses that it is not an option for the christian to allow himself/herself to allow the sin of bitterness to overcome them. It seems an impossible task and the author adds a footnote on one page to warn that only those who have the Spirit of God within them will be able to tackle this problem with the help of the Lord Jesus Christ.
